Elaine heard Bruce's comment, and turned red as well.

"Sorry, Bruce," she said, although she couldn't help but grin just a little.

"Sorry for what?" Clint asked once he'd taken a bite of cinnamon roll.

"Nothing," Elaine replied quickly.

Kae just snickered and shook her head, shooting Elaine a teasing look before she went back to portioning out the cinnamon rolls.

Elaine sent her a look back and hid behind a cinnamon roll.

Clint just glanced between them all, noticing how red Steve and Elaine were, before grinning.

"I get it," he said, snickering. "Way to go, Cap!"

That, of course, only made Steve redder.

Kae snickered. "Clint, be quiet and eat your cinnamon roll," she said, though she was grinning hugely herself.

Elaine just turned redder as well and tried to hide behind her coffee mug. Clint just snickered more and dug into his cinnamon roll.

"So what is this I hear about Capsicle?" Tony asked, strolling into the kitchen and going straight for the coffee, even though this would be his fourth or fifth cup in the past few hours.

"You heard nothing," Elaine denied, just a fraction of a second too quickly.

"Cap got himself some action," Clint said around his cinnamon roll, grinning.

"Clint Barton if you don't be quiet..." Elaine threatened.

Tony laughed. "Well, well! It's about damn time, Cap." He grinned. "So, need me to put some soundproofing around the bedroom?"

Steve couldn't even reply, busy hiding behind his cinnamon roll.

"I don't know any of you," Elaine muttered, mortified, hunkering down in her chair. "I deny you all."

"Come on, guys, ease up a bit," Bruce said, holding up his hands.

Tony cackled madly but left them alone in favor of eating a still-warm cinnamon roll and drinking another cup and a half of coffee.

"You might want to be careful," Natasha commented as she walked in. She poured herself a cup of coffee and glanced at Steve. "I doubt you want little Caps running around."

Steve blinked, twice, before he nodded, slightly dumbfounded. Clearly Natasha had heard everything and he wasn't entirely sure if she was joking or not.

At this point, Elaine just wanted to melt into a puddle of mortification.

"That's taken care of," she mumbled into her pastry.

Steve couldn't physically turn any redder, but he did manage to shift a bit so that he wasn't looking directly at anyone.

Tony was still cackling in between pastry and made notes to have sound proofing installed ASAP to Steve's room and to Elaine's room. Just in case.

"I'm just going to take my breakfast into the living room now," Elaine said, getting up and grabbing her plate and coffee. Clint just snickered.

Steve went with her, mostly because he didn't want to listen to them laughing at his and Elaine's expense anymore. But he did sit on the couch and leave room for her next to him.

Elaine did sit next to him, cuddling into his side.

"Hopefully they'll stop soon," she said.

"They probably will," Steve said quietly. "Mostly, anyway." Because knowing Tony they were likely never going to truly hear the end of it.

"Yeah," Elaine replied. She leaned against him. "Although it is true that we don't have to worry about kids any time soon."

"That's... probably a good thing right now." Steve wouldn't say he didn't ever want kids because he did want kids, just at some point in the future.

"It's taken care of, so we don't have to worry about it," Elaine said. Leaning up, she gave him a kiss. "So there won't be any little Captains running around."

Steve, who had just returned to a fairly normal color, turned pink again. But he smiled a little too. The teasing wasn't so bad coming from her.

Settling in with him, Elaine finished off her breakfast in peace. Thankfully, nobody else came out to tease them.

Steve got up and went to go do dishes, shooing Kae over to Bruce while insisting that since she had cooked he'd do dishes. She gave in after a bit and huffed.

Bruce just steered Kae out of the kitchen.

"Just humor him," he said as he brought her out to the couch. "He'll just keep insisting until you give in, anyways."
