Bruce nodded. Close enough.

"Even a rough program should be enough to just get your feet under you again, right?" he asked. While he knew the basics of computers, the finer details were still beyond him.

"It'll be enough to keep me from being inundated, yes," Tony agreed. "And it'll give me time to adjust, come up with a better program."

Bruce nodded.

"Good," he said. He was quiet for a moment. "I, uh, had to tell the others about Extremis," he said. "I gave them a kind of SparkNotes version."

Tony nodded; he'd expected that.

"That's fine, don't worry about it," he said. "If you hadn't told them, I would have."

"I gave them the bare minimum," Bruce warned. "Just enough so they understood what was going on."

"Well, looks like we're going to have to go through show-and-tell anyway." Tony stretched a little. "Let's see how long we can manage to put that off."

Bruce made a vague noise of agreement. Knowing the others, likely not long, especially with Steve around. Clint and Natasha might let it lie, and Thor wouldn't know what to ask about, but Steve would push after the initial 'give him space' phase.

Tony came to same conclusion and snorted, but he didn't say anything else, just going back to his programming.

After a few moments, Bruce got up.

"Once you're a bit more... organized," he said. "It might be a good idea to have a real sandwich or something, instead of just pastries. Just keep it in mind."

"Don't worry, I'm sure Kae will bully me into a real meal in the morning," Tony said with a snort. "But if I get hungry before then I'll find something."

Bruce nodded.

"Good," he said. "I'll go let everyone know you're still okay. They've all been, uh... Well, 'worried' seems a little understated, but I think you get the idea."

"Yeah. I get it." Tony was quiet for a few moments before he nodded. "I'll come up when I've got a functional program running."

Bruce nodded and headed back upstairs.

Elsewhere in the tower, Elaine was finally really settling in with Steve. She was much more relaxed now that they had seen Tony up and about.

Steve felt better too, relaxing with Elaine, holding her close. He knew Tony wasn't really okay, not yet, but hopefully this was a good sign that he would be okay.

"We should try to get some rest," Elaine murmured, cuddling closer to him. "It's been a long day for everyone."

"It has," Steve agreed quietly. "Go ahead and get comfy, maybe we can get some sleep."

Elaine murmured in agreement and snuggled closer. She grinned slightly.

"You know," she said softly, "I didn't realize 40s-era lingerie was so boring. The black-and-gold lace I have must have been a shock."

Steve blinked, completely thrown off by that. "Um, what?" He shook himself a little. "I, uh, I wouldn't know, I mean, it's not like I looked at, at that sort of thing, I mean, oh geeze."

Elaine couldn't help but giggle a bit.

"Steve, you were in the army," she said. "I figure you must have seen it at least once." She snuggled close to him. "No worries." She grinned. "But I think I managed to find something good, so you'll have to wait and see what I managed to buy."

Steve chuckled after a minute.

"That's kind of cruel," he pointed out, teasingly. "Throwing me off like that and then saying I have to wait."

"You won't have to wait long," Elaine assured him, cuddling. "Just not tonight. It's been a really long day, I bet even you are about to fall asleep."

"I'm getting there," Steve agreed with a little smile. "Alright, another night, then." He yawned briefly, settling in.

"Yeah," Elaine agreed. "For now, sleep is good." Settling in, she turned off her implants and let him snuggle however he wanted.

Steve held her through the remainder of the night, getting up only a little later than normal. He slipped out of bed, trying not to wake Elaine.

Elaine woke up when Steve got out of bed, but she just rolled over into his warm spot.

"Going on a run?" she asked softly.
