Steve laughed quietly and kissed her again.

"There was more suggesting than convincing," he said with an impish little grin.

"Mmm, I think I've been making you hang out around Loki too much," Elaine teased, snuggling close to him. "I think he might be rubbing off on you some."

Steve just laughed quietly, settling in close to her again. "Maybe," he said. "Or maybe it's just prolonged exposure to Tony."

"That too," Elaine agreed, grinning a bit. "Lucky for you, I think I like it."

Steve laughed quietly and stayed there for a little while.

"Alright, we should probably head inside."

"You're probably right," Elaine said, reluctantly getting up. She gave him another kiss. "Though I want you all to myself tonight."

Steve grinned. "After dinner," he promised, kissing her again before pulling her back inside.

"I'll hold you to it," Elaine said, grinning and returning the kiss. Then she went inside with him to see if they would have to muddle through cooking on their own or if Kae and Bruce were awake yet.

Kae was awake again and cooking dinner, though she was being unusually quiet. She did glance over at them when they entered and shot them a quick, distracted smile.

Elaine automatically went over to see if she could help in the kitchen.

"So?" she asked quietly. "What are you thinking about?"

"I'm thinking that I might stay two or three nights a week," Kae said, just as quietly. "Help out with classes, get some more actual training in while I'm there."

"That's not a bad plan," Elaine said, nodding. "Monday through Wednesday or something similar?"

"Exactly," Kae said, nodding. "And I can help out the X-Men if they're in the area or if I can get there at the same time, but I'm not going to stay there full time."

"It's a good compromise," Elaine said, nodding. She was quiet for a moment. "I think Tony wanted me to talk you into staying here."

"I wouldn't be surprised. He's been insisting since I got the email that I not go." Kae sighed. "He's going to be upset with me for this."

"Maybe I'll try to convince him to take a trip out to New Mexico after this," Elaine mused. "It might be good for him."

"Good luck," Steve said with a chuckle. "Although I can help you haul him out there if you want."

"I could ask Thor to do it," Elaine mused. "He'd probably jump at the excuse to go to New Mexico, anyways."

"Please ask him to go," Steve said with a good-natured groan.

Kae laughed at him. "What, his lamentations about Jane getting to you?" she teased.

"He's like a puppy."

"He was a puppy, for a while," Elaine reminded him, grinning a bit. "But we'll see if that's even necessary. I might know a better way to get Tony to go."

Steve just grinned and shook his head, sitting down.

Kae grinned briefly and finished up dinner. "Go gather the others for me will you?"

Elaine nodded and went around to get everyone for dinner. She went down to the workshop last to get Tony.

Tony was working on Dummy, murmuring to the bot. "No, Dummy, hold still, I just need to change the oil and then you can go back to terrorizing the lab."

Elaine just leaned against the wall, watching. Even she knew better than to interrupt Tony and his bot-time.

Tony finished with Dummy and patted the main support strut before he got up, letting the bot whirr away.

"Dinner?" he guessed, looking at Elaine.
