"I think everyone's going to be worried about Tony for a while," Elaine said after a moment. "He's going to sit in on magic lessons tomorrow to see if he has a reaction." She was quiet for a second. "I don't know about Fury, though. I'd say maybe things are just peaceful right now, but I know better than that. I think for the moment, we'll just have to wait and see what happens."

Steve nodded. "We'll find out eventually," he agreed. He sighed and leaned back a bit. "We should probably go get some sleep."

"Are you actually going to try to sleep?" Elaine asked. "Or are you going to stay up a while longer?"

Steve grinned briefly. "Probably try to sleep. Or at least lay there and let you sleep."

Elaine grinned back.

"Alright," she said. She nudged him. "Then let's go upstairs and get comfortable."

Steve nodded and led the way upstairs again, getting settled into his room with her.

Elaine followed him up to his room, getting changed quickly and settling in. She snuggled up to him.

"You need to relax," she said softly.

"Yeah, I know." Steve sighed quietly and pulled her closer, settling in next to her. "I'm working on it."

Leaning up, Elaine kissed him.

"I can help, if you want," she said. "If you feel like it."

"Well, I won't say no to that," Steve murmured, kissing her again. Because, really, he'd be a fool to turn that down.

"I didn't think so," Elaine said, smiling and kissing him again.

Steve ended up getting a pretty good nights sleep, although he did get up at his normal time to go for his run, making sure Elaine was tucked in before he left.

Elaine stirred when he left for his run, but fell asleep again quickly. She didn't wake up again until he got back from his run.

By the time Steve got back, most everyone was up. Tony had even emerged to get more coffee and rummage around to see if there was anything breakfast-like around. Snorting, Steve went to go shower and see if Elaine was up.

Elaine was just getting up when Steve came in.

"Welcome back," she said. "How was your run?"

"Good. Quiet." Steve smiled a bit. "I was just about to go shower."

Elaine grinned a bit.

"So was I," she said. "You go on first, then."

Steve chuckled quietly and moved into the bathroom, poking his head out to look at her again.

"If you want, I think Tony was trying to find food. Or we can wait until we've both showered to go up and find breakfast."

"I'll go down and see what there is," Elaine said, going over to give him a quick kiss. "I can at least make pancakes, or eggs, or something."

Steve chuckled and nodded, kissing her again quickly.

"I'll be up in a few minutes."

Elaine nodded and pulled on enough clothing to be decent, then headed towards the kitchen to see what there was for food.

Tony was nursing a cup of coffee and eyeing the stove like he was thinking of using it. Which was generally not a good idea under the best of circumstances.

"Morning," Elaine said as she walked into the kitchen. She went over to get some coffee. "No breakfast?"

"Do you see a convenient kitchen-worker?" Tony asked, raising an eyebrow at her. "Clint's not up, or at least not up here, and Kae's off making mutant friends. The last time I tried to cook Pepper chewed me out for an hour."

"I would have thought you'd have made some sentient appliances by now," Elaine said, grinning a bit. She rummaged around for a moment. "Alright, come here, then. I heard about the omelet incident, so I'm going to teach you how to fry an egg. I'm not Kae, but I can cook well enough not to starve."
