Kae laughed quietly. "After dinner, then," she said, kissing him again. "Might as well tell them straight out rather than leaving them to guess."

"Fair enough," Bruce replied, returning the kiss. Then he reluctantly let her go. "Go on and get whatever shopping you want done. I'll be here when you get back."

"Alright. I'll see you in a bit, then." Kae kissed him once more before going to find Elaine so she could get her shopping done.

Bruce watched her go and then made his way back into the main part of the lab.

Elaine, on the other hand, was still comfortably snuggled in with Steve. It was a Saturday, after all; perfectly acceptable day for lazing in bed.

Kae didn't barge into the room, thankfully. She just knocked on the door.

"Elaine? Feel like going to the store with me?"

Steve groaned quietly and buried his face in a pillow.

Elaine cuddled with Steve for a moment longer before giving him a kiss and getting up. She threw on one of his tees and went to open the door.

"Going shopping?" she asked. "For what?"

"I have to get some vitamins and things," Kae said with a shrug. "And Bruce doesn't want me going by myself." She made a little face.

Elaine smiled a bit.

"So he took it well, then?" she asked.

"Ah... sort of." Kae grimaced. "After the initial shock, but now he's fine with it."

"I'm not surprised he was shocked," Elaine said. She stretched a little. "Give me a few minutes to change into real clothes, and I'll go with you shopping."

"Alright. I need to go get shoes anyway." Kae shrugged and headed over to her room to get shoes.

Nodding, Elaine closed the door again. Going over to Steve, she leaned over and kissed him.

"I'm going shopping with Kae," she said softly. "And I'm stealing your shirt. Thought you should know."

"I gathered." Steve grinned. "I'll get up. Eventually. You go have fun."

"I will," Elaine said. She kissed him one more time and then went to put on some jeans. She switched the tee she'd stolen from him for a plaid button-down (also his) and put it on over a plain gray tank. Then she went to find Kae.

Kae had grabbed her shoes and purse and was ready to go by the time Elaine came to find her.

"Ready to go?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.

Elaine nodded and grabbed her purse as well.

"Let's go," she said.

Kae nodded and walked with her down to the store, starting to browse the vitamin section.

"So Bruce and Tony have decided they're going to be sticking me every week to take blood samples and do all sorts of tests."

"I guess that's not too surprising," Elaine said. "I mean, they're science bros, they science. And I guess Bruce would kind of be freaking out a little, right? I mean, doesn't he like always emit some kind of radiation or something?"

"Yeah, pretty much. He said he needs the samples to measure the radiation levels." Kae shrugged. "I don't blame him, necessarily, but I know it's going to annoy the crap out of me."

"Humor him," Elaine said. "You've probably got his stress levels through the roof now, let him have this bit of peace of mind."

"I know, I'm being good," Kae grumbled. "I'm getting vitamins and letting them take blood and everything." She sighed. "I just know that it's going to get on my nerves."

"Poor thing," Elaine sympathized. "Well, I'll be around for you to rant at. Oh," she said, changing the subject, "did I tell you that Steve actually surprised me with lingerie?" She grinned a bit.

Kae blinked, startled.

"He did what? Really?" She grinned.

"Apparently he walked into Fredricks, bold as brass, and told the salesgirls he was looking for something for his girlfriend," Elaine said, grinning. "Came back with the most amazing two-piece set I've ever experienced."

Kae snickered. "I'll bet," she teased. "I'm surprised. I didn't think he'd do that."
