Loki snorted. "Where are we going now?" he asked. He didn't sound upset though, just curious.

"It seems Tony needs my assistance for something," Thor replied. "So we are going with him for the time being."

"I don't like him." Loki growled quietly but gave in after a moment. "Very well."

"Given the circumstances, brother, I believe I might be the only one willing to have you along," Thor pointed out. "However, nobody has tried to attack you yet, and I would rather like to keep it that way."

Loki snorted. As if they could really hurt him. But he didn't actually say anything, just letting Thor lead the way out.

Thor made sure Loki was following him, and then went to follow Tony. Whatever it was that they needed his help with, it sounded important.

Tony (reluctantly) let the two gods into his car and headed over to the library, their agreed meeting spot.

"You go look at books or something," he told Loki before looking at Thor. "Steve should be here soon."

Thor nodded and went to look around a bit. The library never interested him, really, it was just a place to meet.

Steve arrived not long after nodding to the girls as he walked in. He knew they had been there early, like always, and they would likely be babysitting again, like always. That seemed to be what Fury paid them for.

Tony looked over at Steve when he entered. "About time," he muttered, although he mostly didn't mean it. "So, any thoughts yet on our plans? I found our lightning-happy friend, but he said he doesn't know the Romans yet."

"I don't like the thought of using someone as bait," Steve said promptly. "It doesn't seem right. But the theory itself isn't bad, I have to admit that."

"Alright. Well, I suppose we can send Thor and Loki off to see if they can find the Romans, and if that doesn't work we can think about setting up bait." Tony paused before he grinned. "We can always shove you out with Elaine."

Steve blinked in surprise.

"Why us?" he asked, completely ignoring the bit about Thor and Loki. "It's too dangerous, Elaine can't see."

"I'm sure you wouldn't let anything happen to her." Tony smirked in his normal superior infuriating way.

"That's not the point," Steve retorted. "The point is it's too dangerous for her."

Tony shrugged. "You know any other pairs of people that are into each other but not dating yet that are in the area and in the know?"

Steve's eyes narrowed a bit.

"What are you talking about?" he asked. "She's a friend."

"Uh huh. You're totally blind. And in denial." Tony rolled his eyes. "Do you really want to argue with me about this?"

"I'm not in denial about anything, Stark." Lies. "And I hope you can come up with a better plan than putting a defenseless woman in danger." Not that she was really defenseless if Steve was there to defend her, but still.

Tony just snorted and shook his head.

"Hey, Thor," he called. "Time for you and your brother to go make new friends."

A moment later, Thor popped his head into the room.

"What is it you need me to do?" he asked.

"Go see if you can't track down a Roman god or two. I don't even care which ones, just start looking and get friendly so they can point you in the right direction to find Venus and Cupid." Tony shrugged.

Thor just looked at him for a moment.

"And where do you suppose I would find them?" he asked finally. "It isn't as if I will just happen upon them on Asgard."

"Not my problem," Tony said with a shrug. "Start looking around. You must have some way of telling when you're getting close to other gods. Besides, you might find some hanging around us humans."

"What what will you be doing?" Thor asked. With Tony, that was always a legitimate question. The man could be doing a thousand things at once without anyone knowing.

Tony shrugged. "Teaching my cousin how to use her new prosthetic leg, thinking of other alternate ways to attract their attention, things like that." Tony shrugged. He wanted to get this over with first and foremost so he didn't have to worry about other pagan gods mucking up his city.
