"Didn't think so," Elaine said. "So how should we go about making her fix this?"

"I could try a bribe," Loki said with a shrug. "It might work. It might not."

"It might be worth a shot," Elaine said. "Bruce and Hulk can't stay like this for much longer, I don't think."

"I am surprised they have lasted this long," Loki said with a shrug. "I will see if I can speak to Amora and strike a deal."

"You know nobody's going to let you go alone," Elaine pointed out cautiously. "Maybe we should get your brother in on this?"

Loki made a face. "I suppose we could," he agreed reluctantly. It wasn't his first option, but he didn't have many options anymore.

"I just don't think any of the others would let you out on your own, especially to meet with Amora," Elaine pointed out. "I mean, I would go with you, but I'm not sure if one of the others wouldn't follow anyways."

"They likely would." Loki sighed. "Very well, I will ask my brother to accompany us once I have found Amora."

Elaine nodded.

"Alright," she said.

Loki huffed and closed his eyes, starting to search for Amora. He figured he'd need all the time he could get.

Elaine quietly left the room, heading to the kitchen for some tea to try to fight back the migraine she had forming. She'd been concentrating too hard.

Steve caught her in the kitchen, looking over at her with a smile.

"Hey," he greeted her. "How are you feeling?"

"A little tired," Elaine said, smiling back a bit. "Trying to figure this thing out and all." She went over to him and gave him a quick kiss. "You?"

"Alright. Worried about Bruce and Kae and the Hulk." Steve shrugged and caught her when she was close, settling his arms around her.

"We're working on it, I promise," Elaine said, relaxing against him. "This spell, it's just so tight, I can't find any seams or edges to it to try to pick it apart, not like the other one. We think we're going to have to go to the source for this one and force Amora to undo it, somehow."

"Amora?" Steve sounded surprised. He hadn't met the Enchantress yet, not really, but he'd heard about her from Thor and Loki. "She's behind this?"

"As far as Loki knows," Elaine said. "And I'm inclined to believe him on this one." She looked at him. "Have you all run into her before?"

Steve shook his head. "Not really. I think she was at one of the fights, but she vanished before anyone actually had to deal with her, so none of us have really met her yet."

"I don't like the feel of her magic," Elaine admitted. "It's not pleasant. Kind of greasy and acidic and sticky all at once. But it's the same magic as the genderbending incident, so I know it's the same caster."

"So she has a lot to answer for." Steve's eyes narrowed a bit. He did not like people messing with him and his team like that. At all.

"Loki is trying to find her now," Elaine said. "Once he does, I'm hoping he'll take Thor with him to go see about getting her to reverse this spell on Bruce and the Hulk. Then we'll see what happens." Elaine snuggled close to him with a soft sigh. It felt good to be held for a bit.

"And then hopefully things will go back to some semblance of normal." Steve sighed softly and held her a little tighter.

"Yeah," Elaine agreed. She stayed there for a little while more, just enjoying the contact. She rested her forehead against his shoulder, trying to stave off more of the headache from too much magic practice.

Steve started rubbing her back absently, quite content to just stay there with her for a while. They didn't get much time alone at the moment, between everything that had been going on recently. So he wanted to keep the contact for as long as he could.

Elaine was feeling the same way, and only reluctantly slipped from his arms a few moments later.

"I should get back," she said. "Keep working on the spell."
