"Alright," Steve agreed quietly. "Good luck." He kissed her briefly, reluctant to let her go.

"Thanks," Elaine said. She returned the kiss and smiled a bit. "When this is sorted out, you and I just need to take a weekend for ourselves."

"Yes we do," Steve agreed with a brief grin. "Once this is all figured out." He kissed her again before letting her get back to work.

"We'll have to be careful, though," Elaine said, grinning a bit. "Apparently there are side-effects to living with Thor. Once of which being that my birth control shots might not be as effective as they should be."

Steve blinked, his eyebrows shooting up, before he snorted.

"Well, that would explain why half the time he looks so proud and the other half of the time he looks sheepish when he looks at Bruce and Kae."

"Pretty much," Elaine replied, grinning a bit. "I kind of feel like someone other than Loki should have realized this sooner."

Steve just snorted and shook his head, glancing over at the clock before stretching.

"I should get going too," he said, smiling a bit. "I'll see you at dinner?"

Elaine nodded.

"Of course," she said. She gave him a quick kiss. "See you then."

Steve smiled and headed off back to work. Well, at least hopefully maybe soon everything would be resolved and he'd get time with her again.

Elaine finished her tea and went back to see what Loki was doing. Knowing him, he'd either already found Amora, or he was waiting to make Elaine try as part of another lesson. Either way, it was time for her to head back.

Loki had taken pity on her, since he knew she was pushing herself too hard, and had found Amora himself.

However, finding people would be a lesson for another day.

Elaine slipped into the room quietly and sat down again, looking at him.

"I've located Amora," Loki said without preamble. "She is a little distance away, but I am unsure how long she will be there."

"Then we should probably get a move on," Elaine said. "Where's Thor? I haven't seen him lately."

Loki shrugged. "I am unsure. Perhaps he has returned home to check in with Odin. Or perhaps he is visiting his lady scientist."

"So either New Mexico or off-world entirely," Elaine said. She sighed. "Great. Either one means he's not here. So how do you want to do this, then? We still need to get to Amora, regardless."

"We go get her ourselves," Loki said with a shrug. "It's not a big deal."

"So says the god," Elaine replied. "Alright. We may as well, then." Because it was past time for Bruce and the Hulk to be put back together again.

Loki nodded and snapped them to where he'd found Amora. He could still do that, after all.

Amora didn't even bother to look over at them immediately. Clearly she was that confident and considered them that little of a threat.

Elaine just watched Amora for a moment. Yeah, the woman felt like the same bad magic that was in the fingerprints on the spell.

"So you're Amora?" she finally spoke up.

"Indeed." Amora turned her gaze to Loki and smiled. "Loki. I'm surprised to see you. I would have thought the All Father would have kept you on a shorter leash."

"One would think," Loki replied evenly, looking at her. "Unfortunately, I'm not as surprised to see you as you are to see me. Should I ask what brings you to Midgard again?"

"Preemptive action," Amora said. "You should know all about that." She smirked at him, well aware she wasn't giving him any actual answers.

"Indeed," Loki replied mildly. "I'm disappointed. Such petty tricks as this were once beneath you."

"Petty tricks?" Amora tutted and shook her head. "You can't even undo them as you are, and you call them petty tricks? Your pride will continue to be your downfall."
