"I am," Steve said quietly, wonder in his voice. "I am. You're going to be a mom." He looked down at her with a huge grin.

"Yeah," Elaine said, smiling as well. She hugged him. "You're going to be a great dad. And you won't have to wonder for much longer what our baby will look like."

Steve laughed quietly, picking her up easily so he could kiss her.

Elaine returned the kiss enthusiastically.

"I'll tell everyone else in a few days, when things settle down again," she said after the kiss.

"Sounds like a good idea," Steve agreed. "Until then..." He grinned and kissed her again. "I think everyone's headed to bed soon."

"Then I think we should follow suit," Elaine said, returning the kiss. "Settling in for the night sounds good."

Steve just grinned and took her back down to his room so they could settle in.

Elaine changed into nightclothes quickly, although she did catch Steve glancing at her belly a few times. She smiled a bit, though, and snuggled in with him.

Kae woke up earlier than she normally would when Rose started crying, and she quickly figured out why. Picking up her daughter gently, she moved into the bathroom to feed her.

Bruce woke up as well, watching as Kae picked up Rose and went into the bathroom. He already figured out what was going on, so he just waited for Kae to come back to bed.

Kae came back a little while later with Rose nestled against her again, and she got back in bed carefully.

"Morning," she greeted quietly.

"Morning," Bruce replied softly, moving over to make room for his girls. "How is she?"

"She's fine. Going back to sleep soon, I think." Kae smiled indulgently. "Now that she's no longer hungry."

Leaning over, Bruce gave her a kiss.

"I think you should follow her example, then," he said. "I'm sure you're still exhausted."

"Dunno if I can sleep any more right now," Kae said with a little smile. "I think I want to hold her for a little while. You three kept her last night."

"You fell asleep pretty quickly last night," Bruce pointed out. He didn't insist she get more sleep, though.

Kae just smiled and relaxed, holding Rose in her lap, stroking her cheek gently. "She's smaller than I thought she would be," she said quietly.

"Newborns grow quickly," Bruce said softly. He reached over and gently stroked Rose's cheek as well. "If she had been any bigger, she might have hurt you."

"She felt a lot bigger when she was still in me," Kae said with a little grin. Rose yawned and waved one little hand around a bit before settling down again.

"I'm sure," Bruce replied. Gently, he moved his hand so Rose's little fist connected with his finger, and he smiled when she wrapped her hand around it.

Kae smiled indulgently and settled in there, content. It was a good morning.

Although she did make a mental note to let Professor Xavier know soon.

Elsewhere in the tower, Elaine had hoped to just doze for a while until Steve got back from his run. Her warm, content dozing was interrupted, however, when morning sickness reared its ugly head and she ended up kneeling in front of the toilet.

Steve found her like that, and he frowned a bit but got a washcloth damp and handed it to her when she was done.

"You alright?"

"I'll be fine," Elaine replied quietly as she cleaned up a bit and rinsed her mouth. "Just morning sickness. It's been happening for a little over a week or so. It usually hits while you're out running."

"I'm sorry." Steve frowned and brushed her hair back for her. "Anything I can do to help?"
