"I'm the oldest female cousin," Elaine said. "But it's pretty much the same concept." She made a face. "Especially after Tom's wedding last year..."

"Yeah I know how that goes." Kae sighed. "I've got a cousin who's having a wedding in February that I have to go to. You could always come with me."

"Am I allowed?" Elaine asked. "I know some people are really picky about who is allowed to attend their wedding, and I doubt anyone wants to accommodate a blind person on short notice."

"I dunno. I was told I could bring a guest, and as long as you don't really need anything too special I'm sure they won't mind." Kae shrugged. "But I'll call them to make sure."

Elaine snorted.

"Yes, because I need something more special than my cane," she deadpanned. She couldn't hold a straight face, though, and dissolved into giggles.

Kae giggled. "Hey, at least you don't have to worry about a guide dog," she pointed out.

"Nope, I've got a guide-roommate instead," Elaine teased back, grinning.

Kae snickered. "You don't have to worry about barking," she pointed out, starting to giggle.

"Unless you want to annoy people," Elaine returned, giggling as well. She grinned more. "I'm sure smartphones now have some sort of barking sound, all you need is that awkward, room-wide silence at the wedding."

Kae laughed. "Oh that would be great. But I'm pretty sure my cousin wouldn't appreciate it. And I'd rather not be the one to turn her into Bridezilla."

"I almost had one of my cousins talked into the cricket sound," Elaine admitted, grinning a bit. "I told you about the wedding last year. The groom was one of my cousins? I almost had his brother talked into using a phone to make the cricket sound. I was so close."

Kae snickered. "Oh that would have been so fun. Oh well, maybe next time. There are always more weddings and family gatherings and things."

"True," Elaine said. She leaned back a bit and grinned. "Can you imagine, though? 'Oh, I'm bringing a distant cousin as my guest.' Suddenly: Tony Stark."

Kae giggled. "I can, actually. And what I can imagine is freaking awesome, actually. I would just love to see that."

"You know he'd show up all sly and under-the-radar, and then suddenly BOOM Iron Man," Elaine pointed out, snickering madly.

"Oh yeah. Just sneak in and either right before or right after the ceremony. Because that would be the most dramatic time to enter." Kae rolled her eyes.

Elaine just cackled.

"Your cousin would shoot you if you let him upstage her like that," she said. "But it would be worth it, I think."

"It would be so much fun!" Kae couldn't help but cackle. "Oh man that would be the most fun wedding ever. For me."

"And not for anyone else," Elaine said, snickering. "If you ever get married, we'll talk him into it for your wedding."

"Yup." Kae grinned. "You know now he has to show up, if only for the mandatory relative thing."

Elaine just snickered.

"Good luck with that," she said. "You'd have better luck talking Thor into it."

"Yeah, but Thor would go because it's a neat human thing to do and he'd be curious." Kae shrugged. Not that she'd really object to him being there.

"Point," Elaine said. "But still, can you imagine how long you'd have to work to get Tony to go with you to a wedding?"

"A long, long time. With a lot of bribing." Kae shrugged. She wasn't really expecting Tony to go, anyway.

Elaine just grinned and shrugged, settling into the couch.

"Eh, we can dream," she said. "I'm sure I have a dress I can wear if you want me to go with you. Or I can use some of my hazard pay and buy a new one."
