"I know I need to buy a new dress for this anyway." Kae shrugged. "So we can always go shopping. I think we need a shopping day soon anyway."

"Works for me," Elaine said. She grinned. "Blues this time, I think. Blues on the purple side, not the green side."

"Okie dokie. I can work with that." Kae grinned. "We can go this next weekend maybe."

"Cool," Elaine said. She grinned a bit. "At least you know that you're being drafted into being my eyes for me."

"Oh yeah. Better me than anyone else." Kae grinned. "And with our nice hazard pay this can be a very fun shopping trip."

"Yes indeed," Elaine replied, grinning. "And you can even help me pick out some new clothes for the Clan gathering this fall. Fall lines should be out soon, right?"

"Umm... Yeah. Probably within the next few weeks, I'd guess." Kae shrugged. "So we can go take a look. And I'm thinking you need a new bra or two, because I saw some pretty ones last time I was out." She grinned, and if it was a hint evil, well, Elaine couldn't call her out on it.

"I always need a new bra or two," Elaine replied. "One of mine is about to fall apart, anyways." She suspected Kae might have a scheme or two, but she couldn't be sure.

"Yup. That's okay, we'll find something suitably pretty for you. Lace or no lace?" Because these kinds of things were important to know beforehand.

"Satin, if we can," Elaine said. "Lace itches. Unless we can find really soft lace." Because yes, that was an important factor, too.

"Gotcha. Any color preference or do I get to have fun?" Kae grinned. Because she was rather fond of bright colors and crazy patterns. Especially in her under things.

"At least one needs to be beige," Elaine said. "I need a new flesh-tone, that one is about to fall apart." And she knew which one it was, because she'd had Kae embroider the braille for 'nude' on the bottom of the band for her.

"Okay. So one nude, and then one pretty colorful one. Got it." Kae grinned. "Anything else you need while we're making the list?"

"If I think of something, I'll let you know," Elaine said. She shrugged. "New flats, mine are wearing through."

"Okay. Plain colors, black, or we'll see when we get there?" Kae mentally added some shoe shopping to the list. They'd have a few bags to carry out to the car by the time they were done.

"At least one pair of plain black," Elaine said. "Maybe one nude. And then we'll see about colors."

"Okay." Kae nodded and grinned briefly. She'd seen a pretty red, white and blue bra in an ad a few days ago, and she made a mental note to go pick one up for Elaine.

Meanwhile, Thor had indeed managed to make friends. He had found some of the Romans, which was the entire plan, really. And someone had managed to drink him under the table, which had been previously thought impossible. So now he was stumbling back (with Loki's help) to sober up and tell Tony what he'd learned.

Tony raised his eyebrows when he found them stumbling back towards him.

"Well? What happened?" He crossed his arms over his chest.

"They have mead," Thor managed to reply unsteadily. "Mead by the barrel." He grinned a bit. "And so willing to share it!"

Tony put his head down on his hands. "Go sleep it off," he growled. "And tell me what you learned, if there's anything useful. Besides the mead."

Thor mumbled something incoherent and tried to stumble off, but tripped over his own feet and nearly fell on his face. God or not, he was completely hammered.

Loki groaned in disgust and caught his brother. "Where do I take him?" he asked, subtly turning his face away from his brother. Because Thor smelled like a lot more than just mead now.

Tony paused before he grinned briefly. "I know just the place..."

A minute later, Kae blinked and pulled out her phone when it buzzed. She had a text from Tony. Unusual, but not alarming.

Until she looked at the message.

Thor is hammered. Incoming.

Kae wasn't quite sure whether to laugh or try and strangle Tony. So she sighed.

"We're going to have guests tonight," she told Elaine instead. "Apparently Tony decided to send Thor here to sober up and sleep."

"Wait, what?" Elaine asked. That made her sit up and take notice. "What's going on? Why is he sending Thor here?" She paused. "Better question. What did Thor drink to actually get drunk?"

"I don't know, I don't know, and I'm not sure I want to know. Tony just texted me and said he was sending Thor here, and I'm assuming Loki is going to be with him." Kae sighed. "I'll go make sure the guest room is made up for them."
