Okay so what should Faolan have learned while he's under Warren's care for the last ew years? The basics of vampire politics perhaps and maybe improving his writing skills but besids taht? Also I think possibly control over how much he takes from his victims so taht he doesn't kill them but he's not perfect yet and if he gets carried away maybe Warren still has to step in?

This is what I'm sort of picturing for Faolan but with lighter, copper/auburn coloured hair.

first thing he would have taught him would be to keep from eating the humans dry, we cant have a trail of bodies laying about now can we. next would have been how to heal wounds so they don't show up. I have always had the opinion that vampire blood can heal any flesh theirs or humans quickly. that is how you can avoid the marks on the neck. oh and this is in order of what he would have taught. once he understood that Warren would have taught him how to cloud the minds of those that he is going to feed on so they don't remember, up until that point he would have been the one clouding their minds. during this time he would have been teaching him the laws that govern the vampire life.

the first law of vampire kind. Never reveal yourself to those not of the blood. Doing so endangers all not only yourself. If you must reveal then that human is under your protection and you shall deal with them if they use their knowlage againted any of the blood.

Two, Your child is yours, as is what they do in their awakening stage. this stage lasts for fifty years but it is expected you shall not let them to their own devices until the end of a hundred years. if by chance you find an orphen it is your duity to teach them all there is to know as if they were your own child. their sire shall be dealt with when he is known.

Three, each city shall have a council and each council shall have a leader. these are to be chosen from the oldest and wisest of you. It is their duty to keep the peace, if one fails in this duty then they shall no longer hold the office, another must be appointed.

Four, none can call blood feud but the ruler of the Council and only if the law is broken. If blood feud is called on one and they feel that they are wrongfully accused they may seek the leader of the regions council to mediate the dispute if the city council will not hear their voice.

the list would go on but I just cant think of any others at this time. he also would have offered to teach him how to paint, carve wood, draw and other crafty thing. he would be trying to find where Faolan shined best so he could get him the training needed to survive with it.

Hmm...I think I might have a few ideas for rules for the vampires.

A vampire may not kill another without first taking it up with the regional council. If teh vampire is deemed to have comitted a wrong they may be executed according to teh wishes of the accusor. The punishment may vary depending on the severity of teh crime.
(for example if an idea I had (based on the vampire series I just read) is that when a vampire does not get the blood it needs it shuts down and goes into a sort of stasis state but is still aware of it's surroundings but can't move. According to vampire law this can be used as a punishment for law breakers if their crime isn't severe enough to warrent a death sentence but is notisable enough to cause some action to be taken (for example endangering the safety of the vampires as a whole or abusing their authority over a younger/weaker vampire)

My main ideas that come for the vampire laws are from the The Laws and Rules
of the Camarilla from the White Wolf World of Darkness Roleplay game. there are a few ways of killing another vampire and yes I can see how that would work for a good punishment.

dont you mean our RP? its not just mine you know, I like your idea of punishing them with the locking up and denying them food. it is one way to get the point acrossed to a young vampire without killing them.

Okay I think we're pretty much ready to time skip. About ten-fifteen years should do it, yes?

yep going to do the skip in my post now... has he shown a perfrence to any gender yet? in feeding?

He was uncaring for the first few years but unconsciously he's started selecting more male and less female prey but he hasn't noticed that about himself yet.
