Do you draw digitally or traditionally? Both?
I like traditional, but for coloring, definitely digital! xD

I don't do traditional.
I am strictly digital only since before I started drawing digitally I was a pixel artist
so digital is just what I am most familiar with.

I haven't exactly found my art style.
But I do know I want to do cell shading when it comes to coloring.
I have the most trouble figuring out how I want it to look and line art.
Line art is a pain to me since it gets in the way of my coloring

I've yet to try pixel art, but I've been interested in trying, since I see a lot of it here!

Me too, my style changes a lot but I don't know if I have a set one yet, but finding a style is fun! XD
As for line art, it can get annoying
I actually came across a new coloring and line art style where I shade using sketchy lines, kinda hard for me to explain, but I'm really likin it!

I would like to get back into pixel art
but I kind of doubt that will actually ever happen.

For now I will focus on mastering my style with digital drawing.

I never really get far to the point of line art because
my motivation is always disappearing and I cannot work on the same piece too long
or I will get bored.

Although I did buy drawing manga books and they say variety with line art is good[mix of thick and thin lines]
so I will try that.

What program do you use?I love paint tool SAI because of the clean lines it gives me, I also have Sketchbook pro 7 but I'm struggling with learning how to use it, since I'm used to SAI! xD

I use to use sai but it takes up like 47k MB's on my laptop
and I only have 21.3 GB's on my laptop.
I have an external drive but I do not want to actually get it until I can put it on a flash drive so it wont take up so much room.

So I switch between autodesk sketchbook[not pro or anything i had to pay for though. I kind of use the none-premium pro version] and My paint.
I really do not care what program I use. I do love how the lines look/come out
on my paint though.

I actually have a tutorial on DA on which you should draw as thick and thin lines.

And I'm the same way about that, as long as I can draw and have a decent array of tools and colors, then I'm good! x3

Oh and layers. Have to have layers and a ton of tools.
Or not a ton but various tools. And the tools have to be able to change their size so the lines come out to either be super thin or super thick.

my art improve like it is nobodies business. XD

I don't mean tutorials that are videos, I meant more of
reading tutorials on DA. Some tutorials are very useful to me because I still
feel very new to drawing digitally. And there is a lot I learned about the programs
I am using too. Like coloring when using paint tool sai.

I don't know much about programs I do use, so it helps people do.

I have improved drastically with my anatomy.
I use to draw chibis and now I draw anime sort of styled.
I don't really know how to describe my style. XD

Ugh, anatomy was and still is my enemy! i've always drawn animals and started people 4 years ago. i'm a pro with animals, but human bodies give me a run for my money!
Lol, I know what you mean! My style is Japanese american, that's what my bff says lol
But I'm trying to make two styles, a cartoon one and manga/anime one.

I feel like mine is kind of an old version of the bamboo beginners tablet.
It doesn't have very much options when you go to the settings.
I've had it for like 6 or so years now though.

I don't find very many tutorials on tumblr, but the ones I do find are useful.
I also have skin and hair palettes.

Anatomy was my enemy but now that is all I can draw right.
I have a hard time visualizing my character without a reference.
So when that happens, I am constantly changing my mind on their appearance, attire etc.
So my characters will probably have multiple different appearances, attires.

I don't even know what my style is because it's never finished.
All I know is people think or say I am good with anatomy and I should do
gesture drawings. To help future artists out and such.

I need to go shower, but I will return ^<^

Only in the females anatomy is it mostly mastered.
Arms I still struggle with. I tend to make them too straight.

Though when it comes to male anatomy I am nowhere close to mastering it
since I only draw females XD

But I got a drawing males manga drawing book so that should help me. :D

Omg, yes, I catch myself making female arms to doll-like. and I find males hard too, so I prefer girls!

I still haven't how to go about faces.
More like the eyes. Noses and mouths I can do but eyes I am always unsure how
to draw which is probably why i am so many eye tutorials on my DA favorites XD

Yeah I am. Slowly but surely.
Eventually I would like to draw males since I have a lot of male canons and Oc's I would
love to try to draw.

Omg faces are the one thing I'm really good at, so if I could master the bodies without refs, i'd be set!

I sometimes need a reference if I can't see it
in my head clearly. But most of the poses I draw are from in my head.

Same here. I actually am planning to make a web comic for my fanfic.
People seem to like what they read but because I don't really think
I capture my readers with my writing, I would like to with my art. So that is my long term goal for my art.

That's helpful! I have a minni mall model and a big hand model, but my sister uses them more than myself. She is good at bodies, it's the faces that she still struggles with~ But she's improving fast!

ME TOO! except it's not fanfic but I totally understand your desire to capture your reader's attention through art! I read many webcomics for inspiration~

It's nothing to really be jealous of since 98% of the time
it doesn't come out like I want it to. XD

I would probably use that to help and see how the body bends and
what it can and can't do.

My fanfic isn't actually a fanfic that is a canon shippings.
It's more about my characters in their world. It's really the only kind
of stories I can write. My original stuff is very bad.

Hm, well then I would just try to imagine what the body can and can't do. That's what helps me at least.

It's not that my stories were simple, the plot was very stupid.
And so I quit Role-playing and writing original plot stories.

Yeah I highly doubt it.
My dreams aren't meant to be plots for stories.
I don't feel my writing is good enough to write my own stories which is why i started
writing fanfics instead. Funny thing is my fanfics get more attention than my original stories
ever did.

Thanks though its not really new.
I just replaced items until I can afford the ones I need.
But I think I may end up changing it because it just looks silly without
the CI's I need for it. x.x
