Saif shot her his best smile before he backed off a bit, giving her and Sabine both some space.

"And that is how you please a human," he muttered to Cadr as he passed, looking smug.

"Yours is more tame than mine," Cadr reminded quietly, sending Saif a bit of a look. "Easier to please."

"You'll just have to figure out something not so tame to please her with, then," Saif teased with a grin.

"We'll see," Cadr replied, watching Sabine. She was going to be a challenge, he knew that. Lucky for him, he liked a challenge.

Saif just grinned and headed inside to go lounge for a bit and let the girls figure out what they wanted to do with the garden.

Cadr followed. Aislin, on the other hand, stayed with Sabine outside.

"I hadn't expected him to be so interested," she commented to her sister.

Sabine shrugged. "Maybe he's just trying to be nice?" she guessed, looking at the proposed garden spot. It would be pretty, certainly.

"Maybe," Aislin mused. She looked at the garden spot. "Anyways, what do you think about the garden?"

"It's a good spot. It'll be pretty, and you can come tend to it really easily." Sabine smiled. "It should be a lot of fun."

"I hope I can get the morning glories and moonflowers to grow up the wall," Aislin said. "It will be so pretty, having one half of the wall in bloom all the time. Maybe I can get them to mix, so it looks like it's in bloom all the time."

"That would be pretty. Maybe if you kind of intersperse the plants, plant them kind of close together?" Sabine shrugged. "It can't hurt, anyway."

Aislin nodded.

"I'll try that," she said. "I'll see if they thrive that way. It would be very pretty, if they do."

"It would be." Sabine smiled a little. "I don't think I can do anything like that. Too many plants around already."

"It's worth a shot to ask," Aislin replied. She grinned a bit. "Or ask for a loom or something to set up inside."

"Oh, a loom might be fun..." Sabine trailed off at that. She would definitely need things to do. She'd just have to think of things she could do on her own time.

"So ask for one," Aislin replied. She smiled a bit. "Then you can sew and weave all you like."

"How do I even know he'll care?" Sabine asked quietly. "For all I know, he's just looking for a trophy and won't do anything for me."

"There's only one way to find out," Aislin pointed out softly. "Ask."

Sabine sighed. She'd ask, but not now. Later maybe. When she really got desperate.

Aislin would have prodded her sister more, but she knew it wouldn't do any good. Sabine could be stubborn when she wanted to be.

"What herbs do you think I should plant?" she asked, changing the subject.

"Mint is always a good choice," Sabine said after a moment. "Parsley is pretty nice, too. Um... There are a couple other good ones, depending on what you think you'll use."

"I'm not sure what I'll use," Aislin admitted. "Mint isn't bad, you're right. But I don't know what else." She was quiet for a moment. "What did we use at home?"

"Parsley, oregano, mint, some verbena..." Sabine shrugged. "Sometimes we used other things, but not often."

"Maybe some flowers too, then," Aislin mused. "Lavender, honeysuckle, bleeding hearts... And of course the moonflowers and morning glories."

"Yeah. Maybe some wild climbing roses, to add a bit of color? Although the honeysuckle will climb too."
