"And so will the bleeding hearts," Aislin said. "Although they will need a trellis. The real vine-plants will likely just need the wall. Oooh, maybe some climbing ivy."

"Just be careful with the ivy or it'll take over everything. So long as you keep an eye on it, though, it should be very pretty."

Aislin smiled, now looking forward to staring her garden. It seemed like she had a hobby, now.

Sabine smiled. "You'll have to make a list of seeds you'll need. Maybe he'll even let you go get them yourself."

"Let's not push our luck here," Aislin said. She would make the list, but she was going to assume she would have to get the seeds herself. "Maybe if I'm lucky, I can find someone to give me cuttings instead of seeds."

Sabine nodded. "That would be good. They'd grow faster than the seeds."

"Exactly," Aislin replied.

Meanwhile, Cadr had stumbled upon something resembling an idea.

"Saif," he said, "those fabrics you didn't like because they were girly. Were there any your human didn't like? For whatever reason?"

"Well, I know there are a couple people who have the herbs and things off kind of at the edges of town," Sabine said with a shrug. "So that's a start."

Saif blinked. "Um. I'm not sure. I haven't asked her," he said with a shrug. "Why?"

"Had a thought," Cadr replied. "Maybe I'd take the useless ones off your hands, since you'll never use them, and if she doesn't want them, they'd just be sitting there forever."

"Alright. Sounds fair." Saif shrugged. "I'll ask her when they come back inside." He eyed Cadr speculatively but didn't actually ask why he wanted the material.

Cadr nodded and ignored the speculative looks. He would let Saif know later if his plan worked.

Saif rolled his eyes but didn't say anything else, instead waiting until the girls came back in.

"Were there any fabrics you didn't want to keep, Aislin?"

Aislin blinked at the sudden change of discussion.

"There were, yes," she said. "A couple of the brocades, some of the silks, one or two of the satins and velvets..." She trailed off, thinking for a moment, before nodding.

"Would you mind showing me? I think I might have another use for them, if you won't use them." Saif smiled at her.

"Of course," Aislin replied. She glanced at the other two, as if not sure what to do about them, before going to show Saif which fabrics she wasn't going to use.

Saif followed her to see which fabrics she didn't like. Hey, whatever plans Cadr had, he wouldn't get in the way, certainly.

Aislin dug through the bolts of fabric, running her fingers over several of them to refresh herself on their textures before pointing several out.

"The red," she said, gesturing to the satin. "The floral." She pulled out a few velvets in green, and a brocade patterned heavily with dragons and clouds. She then tugged on a pink silk and a teal one, both of which were pinned down under a few others.

Saif quickly took the ones she'd pointed out, piling them off to the side, helping to pull out the teal fabric, since it was stuck. That was a fairly good selection for Cadr.

Aislin was curious as to why they were pulling out the unwanted fabrics, but didn't question it. She wouldn't miss them, after all.

"Is that everything?" Saif asked, looking at the little pile. He certainly wouldn't miss any of it.

Aislin nodded.

"There are others I haven't looked at yet," she said. "I'm sure there will be more later."

"Alright." Saif smiled at her. "Cadr said he wanted to use these for something, I'm not sure what. I guess we'll find out."

Aislin blinked. That was interesting.

"I suppose so," she said. Now she wanted to know what they were for. Maybe she'd ask Sabine later.

Saif shrugged, looking faintly bemused, before he smiled at her again. "I apologize if I took you away from your sister."

"I'm here to do with what you will," Aislin replied, although it was more habitual than anything. "Although... I'm grateful you let her visit."
