Saif nodded his agreement. "We need to figure out a way to get rid of him," he said quietly. "Any thoughts?"

"I was thinking something along the lines of poison, but that sounds like more trouble than it's worth," Cadr said frankly. Ever since he'd spotted the tracks, he'd considered asking Saif to just bite the intruder and be done with it.

"I might be able to do it, if I'm careful," Saif said slowly. "I'll just have to make sure not to get caught." Because while he could poison the cat, the cat could still kill him.

"I'm not going to ask you to take that kind of risk," Cadr said. He knew what could happen. "If you want to, I'll help if you need it. But I won't ask you to."

Saif nodded. "Well, we'll think about it. If he doesn't leave on his own in another day or two, we need to start considering something a little more... proactive."

"Sounds like a plan," Cadr replied. He sighed a bit. "I don't want him near Sabine. At all."

"I don't want him near Aislin, either." Saif sighed. "Hopefully he'll just go away and we won't have to resort to anything more... drastic."

"We'll see," Cadr replied. He knew how independent felines tended to be. This one might not leave on his own.

Saif sighed again. "We'll give him a day or two," he said quietly. "And I'm keeping Aislin where I can keep an eye on her."

"I'm going to do the same with Sabine," Cadr said. "I'll have to tell her why, but I'd rather she know and be safe than otherwise."

Saif nodded his agreement of that. "Who knows, she might even appreciate it." He kind of doubted that, but hey, it never hurt to think positive, right?

"It's possible," Cadr said. He tilted his head back to the temple. "Come on, let's go check on them."

Saif nodded and followed, heading back to his temple. The first thing he did was go find Aislin.

"Everything okay?" he asked cautiously, looking at the girls.

Aislin nodded. She and Sabine had settled in to play with some of the fabrics.

"Everything is fine," she replied, pausing her stitching.

Cadr glanced in over Saif's shoulder to look at Sabine.

Sabine looked up from sewing a pillow out of two equally soft fabrics. One was brown, and the other was a dark mossy green, but she liked them both.

"Good." Saif smiled a little. "Do you need anything?"

"No, we're good." Sabine looked at them both for a few moments before settling into her sewing again.

Aislin shook her head as well.

"We don't need anything right now, but thanks," she said.

Saif nodded and left them to their sewing. Yeah, that was good enough. THey were inside, so he was fine with that.

Sabine looked after them for a few moments before she looked at Aislin. "I wonder what that was about?"

"I'm not sure," Aislin replied, watching the two leave. "Maybe we can ask?"

Sabine nodded slowly. "I know Cadr told me there was something going on, someone trying to move into this area? But I don't know what that means."

"I have no idea," Aislin said. "Saif doesn't tell me much. I suppose I could ask, but I don't know what kind of answer I'll get."

Sabine shrugged. "Want me to go demand information from Cadr? He'd probably tell me." If only to keep on her good side.

"You can, if you want to," Aislin said. "You know, I think you may be a little too hard on him sometimes."

Sabine paused, thinking that over. She wouldn't summarily dismiss the claim, since it was coming from her sister, so she actually thought it over.

"I don't know how to be around him, other than that," she admitted quietly. "I just can't figure out what to do with him."

"Has he actually done anything bad to you?" Aislin pressed. "Since the first day, I mean."

"...No," Sabine admitted. "Not bad." Unless one counted ignoring her as bad, but she kind of preferred it that way.
