I used to be in an Aztec dance group in college. Lots of jumping around to drum beats... it was really fun and a great experience. I was sooo fit. But then members started not showing up, missing meetings, etc... it just wasn't fun anymore, so I dropped out. I'd love to be part of some sort of dance group again.

I do want to get back into shape... I hate running though. o_O And I don't have money to sign up for dance classes, even though I'd love the community/dancey atmosphere. I guess I can walk my dog...?

I'm pretty active 5/7 days. I don't like to be lazy during the week...
But when it comes to the week end I enjoy to be a bit lazy and rest my legs xD
I bellydance and do some cardio at home. I now entered in a gym to be thinner :p At leas to make the located fat go away :S
I like to be active and healthy... And I have more energy when I work out :3

So it's official - I've outgrown my dumbbells.

I've got a set of adjustable dumbbells that each go up to 12.5 pounds. They're becoming way too easy for me to workout with now. If I want to push myself any further, I'll have to combine the weights from both onto one handle, which means that I'll only be able to use one dumbbell at a time while having a second useless handle sitting around.

Such woes in my life!

I chase the cat around the house for exercise.
And I stretch by...reaching for the snacks on the top shelves.

I tends to walk alot not only randomly wondering round the house but walking into town I has walking races with other peoples, same with when I go cycling race other cyclists.

Only problem is my feets are turned in slightly so lots of pains in the anckles and knees same with cycling somehow I manage to peddle with my feets turned in. D8

I'm so happy. In 2 and 1/2 months, between work and ballet I've lost 5 lbs. Now I'm going to wreck it all with Christmas feasts, but hey its a start. ^.^

Dancing is the only exercise, aside from walking and biking, that I would consider doing >.<. Things like running ,jogging, lifting weights.. sounds too much for me, .lol. Not to mention, boring. Dancing is fun! Walking is.. well, it should be something all humans do at least once during the day, and biking is relaxing and fun, itself. That's pretty much it, though :P.

My job requires constant standing, walking running lifting. So four nights out of the week I'm doing running/walking for 5to 10 hours lifting anything from 5 lbs to 40 lbs. I'm not in perfect shape but I'm not weak, I'd like to pick up a weight training routine to kind of even out my muscle tone and improve my core strength. :p but we'll see. Gotta get through December first, too much going on at work to really worry about creating a solid exercise routine.

Back in September I decided that I needed to be more active so I joined a local gym and I've been loving it! It's not a big gym - the workouts are very close in style to cross fit but it is not a cross fit gym. It is expensive- but if I had to go to a gym and make up my own workouts I would never go - so this is great that they have the workout for the day and a trainer to demonstrate each section of the workout and they stay and coach during the workout too.

I go 3 days a week and while I haven't lost any weight I am getting stronger and putting on muscle - in fact I went this morning for their Christmas workout and it was crazy -

Quote:
1 Burpee Pull Up
2 Turkish Get Ups
3 Knees to Elbows
4 Wall Ball
5 Kettlebell Swings (feel free to sing it)
6 Box Jumps
7 Double Push Presses
8 Medicine Ball Cleans
9 Double Unders
10 Jumping Lunges
11 Push Ups
12 High Pulls

Do the workout like the song. It starts a little something like this:
1 Burpee Pull Up

2 Turkish get Ups
1 Burpee Pull Up

3 Knees to Elbows
2 Turkish Get Ups
1 Burpee Pull Up

4 Wall Ball
3 Knees to Elbows
2 Turkish Get Ups
1 Burpee Pull Up

The last round of the workout will be the above exercises in reverse order one time through.
It was tough but I did it all - so proud of myself :D
