(The stuff you're afraid to tell your friends you watch/read!)

I'm sure everyone has one. It may be a series you enjoy, but may not reflect your views on the situation. I'm going to go out there and throw one out. It's one of my personal favorite manga series, and one I get a lot of hell for reading because of it's content.

"Kodomo no Jikan" Or "A Child's Time"

Basically, It's about a 12 year old little girl named Rin in love with her 23 year old teacher. While he doesn't share the same romantic views, there is a lot of the little girl flirting with him and teasing him with her two friends and pulling pranks on him, some of which could get him fired. A lot of "Loli" fan service ontop of all of that. However, that is not all the series is, and most of the fan service is done in a joking mannor. What people don't see about it, is that it goes through the lives of these three little girls as they grow up, their relationships with their parents, the hard things they've had to deal with at such an early time in their lives. It also shows the hardships and friendships of the teacher in the school and how he is trying his best to become a good teacher, trying to educating techniques, fighting for the students in the school board etc. It also goes into the lives of his co-workers. My personal view, if you can look past the fan service bits, the story is wonderful and highly entertaining. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll rage and you will really come to love each one of the characters.

However with the "Lolicon" tag, you're branded a pedo just for reading it. Just because I read this, it doesn't mean I sit outside of elementary schools and stalk little girls. I don't have sexual fantasies about children or anything of the sort. I just enjoy the story. Simple as that.

Ugh that rage you get when you find a series you love and want to share, but can't tell your friends because it's something you'll get hell for reading/watching

Bible Black Yeah, I get it, it's hentai. It's not just an anime/manga/etc. But hey, if I'm going to watch something like that, I might as well have a story with it. I hate straight up smut. It's boring. Oh look, two broads going at it. Wonderful. How'd they get there? Why are they; just because? No. Adding the story to it makes it more realistic then just two people going at it. Sure, there are lots of naughty bits in it, but I was interested in the story, and watching the demonic rituals and how the characters interacted, in more than a smutty way.

Unfortunately, people zoom in on one 'taboo' and nail the whole thing with it.

Kavu, I know that feeling. Kodomo is easily one of the best manga I've ever read.

I'm lucky enough to have one friend who doesn't give a damn what I read, but I refuse to tell anyone other than him about To-Love-Ru darkness (mostly because of the nudity. And the fact that most of the characters are probably underage) Great manga. really funny. But nobody ever bothers to look past the immense amount of pointless nudity.

Ohh yeah lol. Bible Black. I do have to admit I've seen it too, and I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Some of the stuff that's in there.. -Shudders- Anyway, I wont watch a Hentai unless it has an actual plot and not something completely retarded with random people doing each other for reason what-so-ever.

Kodomo leaves me waiting for the new chapters each month. If the chapter doesn't have over 20 pages I get upset because I know I'll read them too fast and then I'll have to wait a month for more I haven't read To-Love-Ru yet, it is on my read list though ^^ My bf caught me reading Kodomo and I don't hear the end of it on how i'm a "lolicon" -_-' It's upsetting when you can't show a good manga to your friends because of simple things you know they wont look past. Oh but they can refer you to stuff and tell you not to judge them on it. That relationship needs to work two ways. Not just one

Kavu: I know the feeling. My friend and I are the same with To-Love-Ru: Darkness, Kodomo, Cage of Eden and Fairy Tail. We get the chapter, read it as fast as we can, discuss it, then realize we're stuck waiting for the next chapter.
It is upsetting when that happens. My friends refuse to watch an anime called Kiddy Grade because of the manga I read. They also saw me reading Kodomo, so I guess they have good reason to not watch it though.
