Isabella though for a moment then nodded "That is very likely." She agreed "It has been said that only a chosen few can find the guardian. I hope we can find it before the guards find us. She said worriedly. She wasn't sure they would be as lucky the second time if they were found and she did not want to return to the palace with her mission unfinished.

"Hopefully we are the chosen few." Alexander said with a laugh. Alexander followed Isabella till he noticed a passage way on the left wall Isabella had run by. He came to a complete stop and looked at the passageway, he really wanted to go in this direction,"Isabella, this way."

Isabella stopped and turned to look at Alexander "That way?" She asked as she came to stand beside him and look down the passage "Why do you think we should go down there? To her that passage seemed the same as every other random tunnel they had come across that night.

"I don't know." Alexander looked down the passage they had come as he heard the sound of the guards, "We don't have time to discuss options lets go." Alexander said as he started running down the passage he pointed to, wishing his sister was a little more coherent as it would make his life easier.

One passage seemed as good as any other at the moment and Isabella quickly followed Alexsander. "You are right we don't and it does sound like the guards may be getting closer." She agreed "I do hope he is not leading me into a dead end thoughShe thought to herself.

Alexander ran down the passageway a bit till he suddenly took another one to the right, then after a good five minutes of running took another on the left and ran to the end of the passage. This way seemed to be a dead end, except for a ten foot by ten foot hole in the ground. Alexander looked around briefly and then looked at the hole "We're going down there." He said to Isabella.

Isabella skidded to a stop and looked at him confused, then walked over to the hole and looked down, seeing nothing but darkness she looked back to Alexander "I do not think that is a very good idea. I can not even see the bottom." She said uneasily "We do not know what is down there or even how deep it is. It does not seem very safe.

Alexander smiled at Isabella, "I'm not asking you to jump first or trust me blindly." He commented as he laid his sister on the ground next to Isabella."I couldn't live with myself if I got a pretty lady to jump to her doom. Alexander looked into the hole. "I am going first. Then I will let you know when to toss down my sister. I want you to jump once I have her."

Isabella smiled slightly at his mild complement then grew serious again. "I really do not like this idea, but I believe we have little choice. There is no where else to go and the guards will be upon us soon." She frowned as she looked down the hole again. "Please be careful Alexander, I do not wish to see you hurt."

"I have never gotten hurt saving her before, I do not plan on getting hurt now." Alexander said happily then jumped into the hole. A brief moment later there was a grunt from Alexander. "What the? Hey it is only like fourteen feet deep. The stone is pitch black though."

Isabella let out a soft laugh as she looked down the pit "Well that was rather misleading. She said as she could easily see Alexander at the bottom in the light from the lantern she carried. "Are you ready for your sister?"

"yeah really though, but it works for us." Alexander laughed and held out his arms, "Yeah, hand her to me. Once we are all down here, we can then hide in this small tunnel."

"That sounds like an excellent plan." Isabella nodded as she set her lantern at the pits edge and went to get Alexis.
As soon as Isabella touched her Alexis's crystal armband began to glow brightly and a small ball of energy formed above it. Isabella gasped in surprise as the ball shot straight towards her and flashed brightly when it hit her, momentarily blinding her in the dim light of the caves. When she could see again she stared wonderingly at the armband similar to the ones the twins wore that had firmly attached itself to her own wrist. "What the..." She said shakily, forgetting what she had been doing.

Alexander stood there wondering what was taking isabella so long. Besides moving the lantern around a bit it seemed like she wasn't even picking up his sister. "Isabella, What are you doing? hurry." Alexander said to her, urging her on.

Alexander's voice broke her out of her stupor "Oh yes, I'm sorry. She said as she quickly moved Alexis to the edge of the pit. She could wonder about this new development when they were no longer in danger "Here she comes. and for lack of any elegant way to do it she basically just pushed Alexis over the edge for Alex to catch.

"I got her. Alexander caught Alexis and put her in the tunnel, then quickly returned to look up towards Isabella. "Your turn Isabella. Quick, jump down to me."

Isabella took a moment to convince herself that the drop wasn't really all that high, then with the lantern in hand jumped down hoping Alexander would be as careful with her as he had been with his sister.

Alexander saw Isabella coming down and caught her in his arms. The moment he had hold of Isabella he froze, she felt nothing like his sister. His sister was athletic and no different then carrying one of the guys... Isabella on the other hand was soft, curvy and now that his hand was on one of her thighs, he remembered she was wearing a skirt and tights. Alexander turned rather red as he stood, silently frozen, with Isabella in his arms.

Isabella took a moment to recover from the jump then realizing that Alexander wasn't putting her down she cleared her throat "Thank you for catching me. I believe I hear the guards coming now, we really should get into hiding before they arrive." She hinted gently.

"Oh, right. Sorry." Alexander quickly apologized and put Isabella down on her feet. He then hurried into the tunnel far enough, to not be seen, and then crouched and waited silently.

Isabella followed Alex into the tunnel and crouched beside him. Her breath caugh as she heard the sound of the guards reach the lip of the pit.
"What the hell? Where did they go? One guard growled sounding angry.
Down there maybe? Suggested another guard "Should we try to follow them?
"I don't know it looks pretty deep. Said a third as the a light came into view of those hidden in the cave. "You can't even see the bottom.
"They wouldn't have jumped down there you fools. Snapped the first voice "We must have missed them turn down somewhere. Back the way we came and keep your eyes open this time."
The other two voices snapped quick 'yes sir's' and the sounds of them leaving could be heard.
Isabella let out a sigh of relief and sagged a little "I think we are safe for now. She said softly.

"I think so too. We should see where... Alexis, we need to check Alexis." Alexander sounded very worried as he suddenly moved to kneel next to his sister. Alexander gave her a quick look over, "She hit her head pretty hard. I think we might need to get her to a doctor."

Isabella joined Alexander in kneeling next to his sister. "I believe I can help her. Please give me a moment." She placed her hands over Alexis's unconscious form, closed her eyes and concentrated for a for a few seconds.
A blue-white glow formed around her hands then it spread to wrap around Alexis. The glow hung there for a few moments then shattered into sparkles that fade quickly.
Isabella sat back as Alexis began to stir. "Oh my head..." She groaned as she sat up slowly "What the hell hit me?

Alexander smiled happily, "Your stubborn personality, now you know how I always feel." he said with a laugh and then looked at Isabella. "Isabella might have just saved your life. No, saved both of our lives."

"Isabella who...? Alexis said as she looked around and finally noticed the other woman watching the siblings "Oh um... hello, ah... I guess you must be Isabella then. Thank you for your help? She said sound confused as to what was going on.
"You are welcome." Isabella said with a soft laugh "I am glad I was here to be able to help you both.
