Adaza just stayed silent as Kiyan fell asleep. He wasn't tired at the moment. It seemed the more days that past since the transformation of his eye. The less he could sleep. He just looked at the sky, it was a clear night, many stars were out. He could see the southern stars more clearly, a small sign that winter would soon be upon his kingdom. He layed back on his blanket, his cloak shielding him from the night's cooling air. He placed his arms underneath his head for support as he just listened to the crackling of the fire. It was soothing when mixed with the chirping of the crickets.

Kiyan shivered a bit in her sleep having forgotten how cold it could get at night and just tried to curl up tighter in her cover. The last time she had slept outside was well before she fought Adaza and it was quite warm at that time... of course that could have just been due to the fact she had gotten used to the cold of night.

Small movement from Kiyan caught his eye. Adaza turned his head to see that she was shivering. He sighed softly. He told her before they left to pack another blanket just in case. She didn't listen. She was as bad as her brother when it came to listening. Standing up, he moved his bed closer to her. As he laid down. He placed his cloak over both of them as a blanket. He replaced his arms under his head and watched the stars above them. A small jingle forced his attention to the ground. A replacement bracelet had fallen out of his cloak's hidden pocket. He picked it up and looked at it. She seemed so upset that she lost the first one he had his jeweler make an identical replacement. He sat up slowly, looking over at Kiyan as she slept. Adaza just gently took her arm as not to wake her. He placed the bracelet on her before setting her arm back softly. He then covered her back up and laid back down beside her. Once more he used his arms as a pillow. His eyes grew heavy as he watched the stars above them. Slowly he drifted off to sleep.

Kiyan murmured and moved in her sleep as she felt movement beside her and felt slight movement in her arm but didn't sense any danger so just fell deeper asleep cuddling into her now rather warm mat and unknowingly into Adaza a bit. Kiyan awoke early the next morning as the sun was just starting to lightly dim the sky. She started to yawn but was cut off as she opened her eyes and realized that she was laying very closely to Adaza causing her face to turn quite red and she wasn't quite sure what to do

Adaza just shifted slightly in his sleep. He could feel eyes on him causing him to stir awake. He just looked in the direction he felt the eyes from. He saw Kiyan, her face was red. Even in the dim light of the slowly rising sun, it was completely visible. It was rather close to her and embarrassing but he refused to show it. He just simply took his cloak off both of them and stood. He covered a small yawn as he walk away from her. He can just imagine her going off on this situation. "You were shivering." He simply told her before she could say anything. It was a simple reason and the truth.

"O-oh... thank you" Kiyan said trying to hide her blush but was then a bit more surprised when she felt the bracelet on her wrist and looked up to Adaza clearly surprised "Thank you Adaza" she said softly as she looked at the bracelet then easily got up and started to pack up her sleeping pack

The small amount of water was cool when he cleaned his face. Adaza had brought his own drinking water, but like food it wasn't needed. Only to clean the sleep off of his face really. He just gathered his stuff before package it onto his horse. "You were upset over the last one, nothing special just a replacement." He simply told her. He was trying to distance himself from everyone, mostly her. He didn't want to fall fully in love for her just to be locked away. He felt the pain of lost multiple times. Best to stop it before it started really.

Kiyan sighed a bit when she heard Adaza and frowned shaking her head a bit. "I don't understand it much myself but it was special to me, it was the first gift that I had ever been given... well i mean outside of things my parents may have given me" she explained softly giving a slight smile.

Adaza just turned to looked at Kiyan. Was it really her first gift outside of her family? He just turned back to his horse and patted it's mane. "You should eat before we head out." He told Kiyan over his shoulder. The sun was starting to brighten their path. They still had a small way to go before they got to her people's territory. It wouldn't take more than two hours at the top until she would have to lead. Adaza just watched his horse eat some grass. The morning had a chill to it. Adaza just went to Kiyan and handed her his cloak. The cold didn't bother him much, it would be more useful for her today.

Kiyan nodded and got some of the food out eating a bit of it while drinking some of her water before putting the rest away and was a bit surprised but nodded some taking the cloak and wrapping it around herself. "once we're to the border i know a short cut" she said softly before climbing up onto her horse once everything was packed and secured. "Oh.. I guess i forgot to say anything before but... you won't attack any of my clan right?... that includes sending a plegue after them when we leave" she asked but was sure that he wouldn't... after all he himself didn't seem to have anything against the Darkous, it just seemed to be when he was in war that he cared

After Kiyan took his cloak, Adaza went to his horse and mounted it. He just lightly shook his head without looking at her. "I can not promise anything if they attack first. Though I doubt anyone will recognize me in this state." He simply told her, he just turned his horse towards the direction they needed to go. He still appeared to be human, only thing that gave it away was the glowing red eye, pointed ears and pure snow white hair. In truth, Adaza looked more like a light elf in this state. The bandages over his transformed eye help with that.

"They won't attack you... if anything they might run but you don't look that different... i mean your skin tone yes but other then that not really, so long as they see me first there shouldn't be a problem." Kiyan explained as she got her horse to move alongside Adaza.

Adaza agreed to that, most people did run when they saw him after battle. All but his own kind. His horse started into its light gallop before sprinting into a run. However he still doubted that most would recognize him. No one but dark elves knew of shaming and the effects it had. Kiyo and Kiyan both didn't until they got there, well she learnt about it when she saw it happen. Otherwise unless people knew someone shamed in his race then they wouldn't know of it. Even though he was shamed his people still loved him. He was surprised about it but didn't question it.

After a few hours they finally came to the area Kiyan needed to take over at and not too long before nightfall they finally started to come into an area that she remembered and slowed her horse to a slow trot. She looked around causiously her ears and tail actually popping out as her ears twitched in the directions of the sounds. Soon she stopped her horse and carefully got down still looking around as her ears twitched. She pulled out the mask she used to wear from the pack she had on the side of her horse and tied it around her shoulder so it could easily be seen.

Adaza slowly came to a stop near Kiyan, he could sense people nearby. Judging by how Kiyan dismounted and brought out her mask. It was most likely her kind. He just dismounted his horse. The horses needed a break. He patted his horse's neck gently. Adaza was just following Kiyan in silence. Like yesterday he didn't feel like talking. It was easier to talk to Kayo, he knew what was going on and the possibility for the outcome. Knowing Kiyan, she would overreact and bother him with worry if she knew.

Suddenly quiet whispers could be heard all around seeming to be coming from the trees and were all in Kiyan's native tongue so only she could understand. She just shook her head a bit and let a small fireball light in her hand as if to show that she still had her powers. After a long moment of silence you could hear some trees rustling then two young fit men from her village plus an elderly male came out. Kiyan bowed to the elderly male and listened to his scoldings before jumping in surprise as he hugged her and she smiled a bit giving him a hug back before motioning towards Adaza and gave a brief explanation for them being there in her language that they needed to rest for the night. "NO! Kiyan you've gone too far this time!" One of the men said and Kiyan backhanded him "That's Staff Sargent or Staff Sergant Kiyan to you!" Kiyan hissed and the male backed down knowing he would get worse then just a back hand if he spoke up anymore since the elder and chief was there. The elder looked at Kiyan before dismissing the two men and called for some stable hands to take care of the horses while they talked. Kiyan looked to Adaza to make sure that that was okay, they needed to stay there for at least the night since the trip into the forest was much more dangerous then going through the territories.

Adaza just listened to Kiyan and the men. He smirked when she backhanded one of them for speaking out. He found it amusing how the male listened to her and cowered down. However when when they left and a new one came to get his horse, he simply rejected. He rather sleep outside. It was safer, not for him but everyone else. He didn't care if Kiyan went with her people but Adaza would stay outside away from people. He just looked back at her, he didn't need to talk to her for her to know he rather be outside. It would be nice to air out his eye while being alone as well.

Kiyan frowned some but nodded and headed into one of the huts with the elder and spoke to him calmly about what happened laying out Kaji's sword as she told him about the war and he scolded her a bit more for running off but then just said that he was happy she was safe and well taken care of. After a little while of talking Kiyan walked out and went to find Adaza "Elder Ruke wants to speak with you" she said softly noticing several people that had been watching Adaza wearily.

Once Kiyan had left, Adaza just walked away with his horse. He was on the outskirts of the village, yet that didn't stop them from staring. He just ignore them as he patted his horse. Most of them meant no harm, only a few guards just glared at him. It was expected after all, he was one of the generals of the opposing army. One of the most well known fighters in the Dark Elven kingdom. Adaza just turned to see Kiyan as she spoke to him. "Then he knows where to find me." He simply told her. Adaza was avoiding people for a reason. He would show respect to her elder but he rather stay outside of the city.

Kiyan frowned once more and looked at Adaza worried "Adaza? Are you alright? It's not... getting worse is it?" Kiyan asked quietly and worriedly since he was acting stranger then usual... maybe he just didn't feel comfortable in her village... that was quite possible and she could understand that. She waited for his responce before she would head back to get the elder, hopefully he wouldn't mind

Adaza just let his horse graze in the grass of the outskirts of her village. He just looked at her plainly. "Why do you always assume its the worse? Perhaps I just don't talk when I travel." He simply told her. He sighed seeing her face. Adaza barely unsheathed his sword that rested on his left hip. The small amount of metal just glistened in the light. He took right wrist and cut into it deeply. No blood came from the wound. He sheathed back his sword before showing the deep cut. His veins were black, decayed as if he had been dead for months. "My heart stopped the night my eye transformed, in all logic, I'm dead. How can it get worse from that? Besides fully transforming and the obvious." He plainly spoke. The worse thing being fully turned and accidentally killing Lynia and her.

Kiyan covered her mouth in shock and to keep herself from saying anything as she just looked at his wrist. Sudden feelings of anger and sorrow filled her that she just wasn't sure what to do with, she was angry that he had been hiding the fact that he was already dead... angry at herself for becoming so close to him... and sad... extremely sad that there was a very high chance he couldn't go back to normal... even if she gave him some of her powers. He would be taken away...Lynia would grow up without a father... her Kayo and possibly even his family would be tortured or killed... she would loose another person that she was very close to... she just couldn't hardly even think about that... why didn't they leave sooner?!

Adaza just went to his horse and took out bandages. He slowly wrapped his wrist before cutting and placing the extra up. "Why do you think I was screaming that night my eye transformed? I wasn't panicking or freaking out as you and your brother call it." He looked at her plainly, "I was dying. My organs were freezing, spiking with so much pain." He simply told her just as plain as before. He was looking at her, waiting for her response. Kiyan wanted to know why he was acting differently, well now she knew. He wanted to stay to himself, he didn't want to fall more for her then he already had. Granted he would never tell her that.

Kiyan just couldn't respond, she could see why he didn't say anything at the time... she was still so sick... but now... she felt so much worse, she felt the pain in her chest like her heart was being gripped again but so much harder... so much more painful. She fell to her knees covering her face from view as she bit her lip so hard it was starting to bleed was she tried not to cry. She just couldn't help it... she just had such strong feelings for him even if she couldn't bring herself to admit to them, she cared so much about him and Lynia... just the thought of going a day without hearing that frustrated tone of his bothered her.

Shocked Adaza just looked at Kiyan as she fell to her knees and covered her face. He knelt down in front of her. Her village was staring at him like he was a monster for what looked to be making her cry. Adaza gently touched her shoulder with his right hand. "Kiyan, it does not just stop there. My twice great grandfather was the same as me, eventually he was locked up in a unknown location. That's after he fully transformed. There is no stopping it, there is no cure. Only death and imprisonment." He told her plainly, he knew he was making it worse but she wanted to know. "You wanted to know why I been distant here lately, this is why." He removed his hand from her and stood up. He just turned and walked to his horse. He needed to set up camp before it got too dark.
