Adaza hoped that there was something that could be done, but he wouldn't hold his breath on the matter. Nor would he tell her that he too wanted a cure just as bad as she did. He wondered what his ancestor would be like, would he understand the pain of losing everything, of losing a family. Surely he did, he was forced to leave a wife and child just like Adaza had. It was like Kiyan said, he left the journal for his son to find him. He couldn't have been that bad, could he.

Kiyan soon fell asleep against Adaza but still had her senses alert to make sure that she could jump up if she needed to. She awoke what she could only assume was the next morning and yawned softly stretching a little as she sat up wondering how far she would have to go in her spirit form.

Adaza just looked at Kiyan when she fell asleep and smiled softly. He turn his attention to his pack, taking out the journal. He began to decrypt a little bit more before falling asleep himself. He was sitting up still, his elbows resting on his knees with loose papers in his hand. He was facing down lightly as he slept silently, the journal was on the ground in front of him. Clearly Adaza had fell asleep working on the journal in the middle of the night. He had pulled a late last night and the night before didn't get any sleep. He really wanted to find the answers to his questions even if it meant him ill-wishes.

Kiyan awoke the next morning with a soft yawn stretching out as much as she could before looking up at Adaza and smiled a little. He always worked so hard she hoped once this was over he could rest some. Carefully and quietly she gathered the papers that had fallen and tried to put them in order before carefully placing them in the journal so as to keep the place hoping to not wake Adaza up.

Adaza could sense movement nearby, slowly he stirred awake. His eyes were still heavy as he looked at Kiyan. He looked away from her as he closed his eyes tightly just to reopen them, he was trying to shake off the tiredness from them. He just looked at the journal, she most of cleaned up the papers while he slept. Adaza just sighed lightly before adjusting the notes in his hands. "You should go after you eat." He told her plainly as he began to pack up the journal and notes.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you" Kiyan said softly then was a bit surprised as she looked at him a bit confused "What do you mean? I thought I was okay to go with you" she said softly with a soft frown still wanting to help him

Adaza just shook his head lightly. "Sorry, I meant we." He rubbed his face, trying to fully wake up. "I'm running off very little sleep." He told her apologizing for once. "Once you eat we can head out to the island." He left their hiding place. He stretched trying to fully wake up. He was very tired but eventually he would be good. The more active he became the less tired he was.

"Oh okay... It's okay I understand" kiyan said softly before getting out some of the food she had and munched on it a bit before putting it away and got their stuff together before getting out of the tree making sure that everything was in it's place.

Adaza just looked at Kiyan as she came from under the tree. He waited until she was done before heading back in the direction of the clearing. They needed to get through it as fast as possible. Clearings in this place were very dangerous, especially during the night. "Be very quiet in the clearing, watch your step and move quickly." He softly called back to Kiyan. He didn't want her to met monsters in the tall grass. He looked around as he entered the ground, keeping an eye on any grass movement or parts of the ground breathing.

Kiyan nodded before fallowing quickly and quietly making as little noise as physically possible. She wondered a bit once more what the island would be like along with his ancestor... she hoped that he was just misunderstooned and not actually cruel ot evil or anything

Hours had past as they walked in the dark eeries. Adaza could sense his old master following them the whole time, He was unsure why he was follow them but he was. They came to an old decaying bridge that hung loosely over a rather large black lake. A fog blanketed the murky water. In the distance of the fog was a island. Taking a deep breath Adaza slowly made his way onto the bridge. It creaked under his weight, but still held. Slowly he started to make his way across the bridge to the island in silence.

Kiyan looked unsure at the bridge before pulling out her wings and lightly hovered just a few inches above the wood still just as quiet and stayed close behind Adaza but could also tell they were being fallowed

Adaza just stopped and looked at her. "Put your wings away, your energy changed when you brought them out. You might as well scream that were coming to the monsters." He told her bluntly. He could literally see her aura floating around her after she brought out her wings, he could even smell life from her. That had him worried. "Kiyan, stay here. My master will keep you company." He turned from her, his cloak's hood was covering his face from her view. He would not yield this time. She would either stay here, or return to the barn. The vampire came from the shadows and folded his arms over his chest. "I will not obey that order young elf, for I am needed for your cure." Adaza just looked at his master in shock, he knew the cure.

"I'm... sorry I didn't realize that" Kiyan said quietly as she landed and folded her wings away them vanishing almost instantly before looking back and forth between the two and was relieved hearing that there was a cure.

Adaza completely ignored Kiyan. "So that is why you been following us." The vampire just looked at his former student and nodded lightly. "Indeed. Your ancestor is needed as well. I figured that is why you came back looking the way you do and in such desperation to find him." Adaza just looked away from his master. "The girl can stay here. Young elf, you and I will venture ahead, to cure you. However note that is is not a full cure. You'll be normal in appearance, however you'll still be a Reaper, you'll be able to control your transformation." The vampire then just smirked as Adaza agreed to leave Kiyan here and go with him.

Kiyan frowned but just nodded with a sigh since it seemed using her powers at all would attract attention and she really didn't want Adaza ending up getting hurt. She wanted to help him but just figured this was for the best, at least he wasn't sending her back to the barn where he had been staying

Adaza just turned to Kiyan. "Take shelter in a hollowed out tree like last night, use the sap to hide your scent." He briefly told her before following the vampire into the fog. He had left the journal and and pack of food near Kiyan. Both of the males crossed the bridge in silence. Adaza just hoped Kiyan would be safe, this part of the kingdom was wild. Very dangerous to even him and his master.
As nighttime fell they never stopped to rest. Hours into the night and stealthily avoiding any form of life, the two had made it. Deep into the temple they went, passing trap after trap. Adaza finally looked upon his ancestor. Shivers ran down his spine as his ancestor looked on him and the vampire. Voices echoed in an ancient language still used by dark elves. Adaza spoke in reply in the same tongue, his nerves cooling with what he could only guess as the sensation of death.

Kiyan frowned softly but picked up the other pack and headed off to find a tree near the bridge that was hallow and did the same thing that Adaza had done the night before. She easily slipped into the hole to wait feeling extremely anxious and wasn't really able to sleep at all as she worried about Adaza's safety and well being hoping that everything would be okay but for some reason kept feeling chills

The prison reeked of death, Adaza's eyes darted from both his old master to the being sharing his bloodline. The only reason he was trained by the Lycan and the Vampire was because they served his ancestor. They could smell Adaza's blood, smell his relation to the being chained in the darkness. He removed the hood covering his face. His fear faded upon looking at his ancestor. He always thought he was alone in life, but his twice great grandfather had been helping him, helping him become stronger. He looked at the floor and smiled softly. His ancestor was never the monster the legends claimed him as.
Adaza just nodded to his ancestor's question, he was indeed in search of the cure but had caught him off guard was the following question. "In love?" Adaza repeated slowly. He was in love, he was in love with Kiyan. They could sense the flame inside of his non-beating heart. The vampire would agree to the following question. Before Adaza could even blink the vampire had stabbed him from behind, his hand was shoved through Adaza's chest. He couldn't feel any pain but the shock of the suddenly froze him in place. He felt fangs sink into his neck, energy began to drain from his body. Weaken Adaza fell to the floor. The vampire pushed him so he laid on his back. He stared at both his ancestor and his master, once again, he was betrayed.
Slowly his ancestor reached into his own chest, pulling out his own beating heart. He handed it to the vampire, in return the vampire placed the heart into Adaza's chest. Instantly his ancestor turned into ashes as the heart began to beat into Adaza's chest. He gasped in pain, gripping his chest. The vampire just smirk as Adaza's body began changing. "To cure one Reaper, the previous must sacrifice it's own heart to one that's truly in love." He simply told Adaza before he slipped into unconsciousness.

Kiyan was startled as she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her chest and gripped where her heart was coughing a bit. She knew it wasn't her own pain but it still shocked her. She was worried but knew that if something was really wrong she would be able to feel it... after all she did share Adaza's energy and pretty much life force.

Adaza gasped for air once waking in the morning. His wounds were fully healed, even the little marks from the vampire's fangs were gone. His master was no where to be seen. His ribs ached as if they were bruised badly from the cure. Only chains and dust rested in the prison with him. With great pain, Adaza stood up. His eyes traced over his hands, his claws were gone. He made his way to the black murky water in the small fountain. His eyes widen slightly. He looked as he did the day he met Kiyan on the battlefield, he was back to normal. A smile came to him as he whispered softly. "Thank you my dear ancestor." He would make sure that his sacrifice would not be in vain. That his name would be cleared from all monstrous lies.
Slowly he made his way out of the temple, it took a while but he finally made his way to the bridge. All he needed to do was cross it. He placed his hood up to cover his face once more before he began to cross. He hoped that nothing happen while he was away.

Kiyan didn't really get any cleep at all as she just sat in the tree waiting for Adaza and worrying as she felt slight pains every now and again, but at least that told her that Adaza wasn't dead or anything. The next morning she ate a bit before looking out of the tree hoping that Adaza would be back soon but felt that she could sense him getting closer

It took him nearly half the day to return where he had left Kiyan. His ribs were hurting badly from the walk, he could still feel his Reaper's energy swirling deep inside of him but at least he could learn to control his transformation. He would have called to her but in this forest that was like a death wish. His energy was still recovering from when it was sucked out of him, he couldn't sense her. His right hand held his ribs as he looked around for signs of her. He would have to track her the old fashion way.

Kiyan looked around as she heard someone approaching and could sense Adaza clearly and headed towards where she sensed him gasping as she saw him back to normal and moved over wrapping her arms around him but was careful as to not hurt him since he seemed in pain. "Adaza! You're alright, I was worried" she said softly before helping him back to the tree she had been staying in. "I'm so glad to see you back to normal, but how?" she asked softly

Adaza just waved her off slightly. "Kiyan, my ribs are bruised thats all. I'm not dying, you don't need to lead me like I'm incompetent." He told her plainly. He sighed softly at her question. "My ancestor's heart was the cure." He said softly in reply. "My old masters worked for him the whole time. They trained me because he told them to. All this time I thought I was alone but I did have family looking out for me." Adaza whispered to her, his face held a smile. "He was never a monster they claimed he was." He sat down to rest from his long walk. "My master attacked me, I thought he had betrayed me and my ancestor was going to kill me. However, he needed to open my chest so my ancestor's heart could be placed in me. I remember my master draining me of my energy, he placed my ancestor's heart in my opened chest. There was so much, I lost consciousness." He told her softly, as if trying hard to recall the event piece by piece. "When I woke up, I was alone. My ancestor turned to dust after his heart was placed inside of me. My master was gone, I was normal." Adaza just looked at Kiyan, the smile left his face. He was happy but sad that he had finally had family besides Lynia, only to lose them instantly.
