Oh, I've a huge interest in a lot of unexplained things. I've even explained some of them in such ways as to make sense to people.

That's a tough nut to crack, getting someone to see an obvious solution to something that's been glossed over because it wasn't a sensational answer.

I'm into things like the paranormal, and have all but reached the conclusion that all "physical" paranormal phenomena are either misinterpreted natural phenomena, or mental phenomena mistaken for physical phenomena, or both. If a non-physical entity can effect physical reality, wouldn't that make it a (possibly hitherto unknown) class of physical entity?

Seeing something or hearing it doesn't make it a physical phenomenon. It's still a valid expereince, but the cause might not be what people think.

I've seen, heard and felt ghosts. That doesn't make them a physical reality though, because the very nature of what people call ghosts is that they aren't physical.

In fact, even science is finally, reluctantly admitting that even "physics" is a bit of a misnomer. Physical reality is perceived as "physical" reality, because of the models of thought we were raised to believe in. Matter does not exist in "reality", but is merely one of the many perceivable forms taken by energy.

Pretty much everything we believe in, science included (or especially!), is based on convenient falsehoods agreed upon for the sake of convention.

So what's real? Is there anything real, or is it a moot point, is everything real? Nothing? Is the question actually irrelevant?

I see phenomenology as a sort of meta-philosophy, really. Questioning even the questioning of the philosophers.

So here's the dilemma today... leggings as pants? yes or no? i wanna wear my snow boots (there's snow on the ground) but leggings are the only "pants" i have that fit in them.

@Ilonka - I will say leggings if they are warm enough for you on this day ^_^ I can relate to having pants not fitting into my boots. Most of my jeans are big at the bottom, so end up scrunched up if I try to stick them inside a boot. Fortunately, my boots look fine with the jeans over them (I think)?

Well Vera, it's very commonly known that our brains are very easily tricked, so the odds of it being simply our brain trying to make up an explanation are pretty high.

Ghosts? That's an interesting topic... one with lots of very strange yet hard to prove incidents
I wouldn't be surprised if it was just ultraviolet light or something. They say cats see ultraviolet ghosts all the time.

I am crossing my fingers in the hopes that we will have a "White Christmas" this year! ^_^ That is, I hope it will be snowing on Christmas Day like it used to when I was little. Heh...back in the day. I feel so old now.

I love snow, but not ice. I also don't particularly love shoveling, but...I do love snow.

So I got my drivers license renewed today and I'm gonna turn it my graduation petition today! WOOT! But I have some not so good news too, i'm almost out of money already. :( I need that money to pay for my prescription... I don't know what I'm going to do when the money runs out.

How long before you run out? Is there any way to get more?

I think i can only pay for my prescription one more time. :( Only way to get more money is to get a job and I can't do that right now. I'll more money in March, but that doesn't do me any good right now.
