@ Livi : I'm so sorry for your loss. Yeah, I don't understand it, many doctors seem to think the only cure for depression is medication. Have you sought a grievance counselor? They might have been more helpful to you than a doctor? I don't know, I'm just guessing that they would be.

@ Poet : It was definitely the worst experience I've ever had with a therapist. I was seeing him because I told my parents about the abuse and they felt I should see a therapist, however, this therapist liked to compare me to his "worse- off" patients. He was an ex-police officer that treated many veterans and he didn't often treat teenagers.

Ohh, I see. That sounds like it would be annoying! Is there a cause of the post nasal drip? Or is it just purely hereditary?

I definitely understand not wanting to try looking for a new doctor. For some people it's a super lengthy process finding the right doctor for them. I wish good doctors were easier to come by, like, I wish there was some sort of website that had reviews of doctors so you could get an idea of how they are before you decide to see them. Sort of like those websites where you can rate college professors...

That is good that you still treat people with labels like people first. I'm not against labels at all, just against treating people as a label instead of as a person.

Ava: *hugs* Thanks hon. Now to just make it through March and past our birthday. Oh, this was years back - late 2006 - so I have gone to talk to people and I've found someone who's better than the first person I was seeing. It's just been a matter of finding the energy to actually talk to someone, but the woman I'm seeing now, she's much better and she really has helped.

If you ever want to just rant/spam at someone, my inbox is always open to you Livi ^^

@ Ava - One needs to understand, to each individual, trauma can happen sooner or even not at all for the same situation. Military men are trained not to be phased by general things. You weren't.

No idea if there's a cause. It just is.

Well, when you first see someone of course all you have to go by is the label you give them. But over time as you learn about them they become people rather than strangers with labels.

That's very true! My inbox is open to y'all as well - I may not be on a lot, but I am here for y'all whenever I can find the time with these two crazed munchkins I call daughters. Soph is trying SO hard to walk. She can stand with help, but she can't quite understand how to balance yet, without that added support - as soon as she starts walking - we've got a new level of crazy. But she's mobile with her crawling. How can she be mobile already?!

Oh, we went through it with Becca - so thankfully the house is already child proofed. It's more the whole thing of me against two children who typically like to go in opposite directions. :P

Mmmhmm! Becca runs off one way and Soph crawls in the other, and once Soph starts walking it'll just get crazier.

It's times like this that I wish that Carlie was still here, so I could recruit him to come and help out. Twin power! But he's not, and I'm having to find ways to try to be in two places at once it feels like.

Aww

The closest I've ever had to "twin power" was a friend of mine. We would always call each other at the exact same time.

That happened to me and Carlie a few times, but more often it was more just knowing what the other one needed without really needing to say it. And understanding when the other one needed moral support from the other one.

He was also really good at convincing me that I needed to do things when I didn't always want to do them. And when we were younger, he and Sea were really good at dragging me into their schemes, that usually ended with all three of us getting into trouble.

Oh dear... scheming...

My favorite part of calling each other is that awkward silence as both phones fail to connect

"Hello?"
"BEEP beep Beep boop!"
Those buttons were always so loud.

"Liv... you should go and distract mum while we try to take the entire cookie jar and sneak it back up to our room...." is the first one that comes to mind. xD I swear, mum had eyes on the back of her head, you couldn't get anything past her - ever! I still can't! :P

They really were loud!

Some parents are just amazing at keeping an eye on their surroundings. Plus kids are a lot louder than they think they are o.o

Always after the cookies and sweeties!

Being a mum now - I know that, but as a child it made us swear that she could see everything no matter where she was sitting! We also came to the conclusion she could see through walls too! Although she has admitted since that it was that she just knew the three of us well enough to know that us being left alone in a room - we were trouble. No, it was my brothers who were trouble and them always dragging me into getting into trouble with them. xP Haha!

It was super messy - she needed a bath. xDD

I did get a few on my phone to send to Alex before little miss 'I hate my pic taken' noticed me. XP, but I am too lazy to get up to get my phone. XP

It's funny that so many times parents wish their children would be quiet, then when they finally are quiet it's usually because they're doing something bad lol. :)
I work with kids and I always freak out a little when they get quiet. Especially the ones that aren't usually quiet!

Haha, those are the pictures you can embarrass her with when she gets older :D

Well Ava... the desire is to have quiet obedient children. they just don't ever seem to mix unless you stick them on an electronic device.
At my job if someone gets too quiet, I have to make sure they're still alive o.o
