For me, I couldn't even see myself being able to do that because the thought of anyone else reading them.. :/
Thankfully no one has even tried to give me any of them, thank goodness.

Yeah... But those books aren't worth the time and energy... Either that or throw them away.. :/ I will not give them to someone else to share with other people. Sorry, but those books aren't worth it... They aren't worth sharing. :/ And spreading the idea that it's ok to promote negative bad relationships.

I was in a long-distance relationship with someone who was very much in the 50 Shades school of thought for a while, and I thank deities I don't even believe in for the fact that it was only long distance. Creepy bastard was trying to tell me what I did and didn't like.

I tried to read the books (bootleg online copies; I'm not giving any money to that) after I'd heard how bad they were just out of sheer morbid curiosity. Couldn't get through the first one. It was painful.

Usually I don't promote book burning, but THOSE...those are abuse manuals and can only be cleansed with fire.

SO glad that someone agrees with me that burning them is the only way to deal with them!

I too do not promote burning books, but those books from what I've heard - I refuse to even read a copy I find online... are horrible horrible books.

I am a severe bibliophile... ...but I agree with the burning of the 50 Shades books. That is NOT literature by any standard.

I didn't plan on reading them, but then one of my coworkers at the bookstore told me I should open to a random page to see what the writing style was like. OMG that woman couldn't string together a complex sentence to save her life, HAHAHA.

I tell people who tell me to read them "I do not have time to read junk like those books. I'd much rather read the my girls' bedtime books over and over again than read trash like that!"

Yeah, the writing in those books is really just adding insult to injury. I read better than that every day on my RP blogs on tumblr.

My 4 year old could probably write better than her. xD

50 Shades is one series I will NEVER read. And though I'm as against burning books as any bibliophile, I'd happily consign that lot of toilet paper to a good fire. Or just use it as toilet paper :/ It is NOT literature, end of story, and should never have been published!

And I'm doing okay too :) I had a very good weekend, during which I was able to catch up with a friend I haven't seen for a few months. And THIS time around, he was actually keen to see me, instead of coming up with some sort of excuse as to why we couldn't catch up ^^; He had a very bad habit of doing that in the past, but when I texted him last Friday night to ask how he was doing, he mentioned that he would be attending a chess competition in Altona, and that I was very welcome to come along to hang out. So I did, and I even went back for seconds yesterday! To be sure, he was busy here and there, because he's an arbiter, but he did come and hang out with me whenever he was free, and we had a very good gasbag :) So it was good all around :)

O.o what brought that up? I never did like the series...not even the movie either.

Hummy - gray weather? It is a bit gray here today, but that's how it gets here in autumn. Lots of gray days. And it makes me sleepy :P

I am so glad we're going to be getting cooler weather.

It was 96 degrees out today. Gray would be a much welcomed change.

I'm finally getting a working air conditioner soon, but I'm still boiling over here in the meantime.

The weather here is cool but surprisingly pleasant.

I personally prefer being too cold to being too hot. If it's too cold, you can just grab a blanket or a heavier jacket - if it's too hot there's only so much you can take off before it becomes illegal, and only so much beyond that that you can take off at ALL. Your skin is kind of stuck to you no matter what.

(I almost mixed up the words "hot" and "cold". Because an hour and a half in a class that was nothing but "And this is how you work with powers of 10~" in 36 degree heat has completely melted my brain.)
