Ouch the owner? Were they upset? Or simply watching?
When my manager ever showed up to work it was always to complain I hadn't done X Y and Z after being there for only an hour. Like "You haven't vacuumed yet!" yes... and the client is sleeping >.>
Hey Kirin, I hope you feel better now compared to when you made that post about feeling crap, and if not, hope things improve for you soon.
As for me, I've been thinking a lot lately and not doing much else...and after all the thinking the only 'conclusion' I've come to is that I'm procrastinating and that is why nothing is happening for me. I took the first step in hopefully the right direction for one aspect of my life today... I need to determine the other action plans I need to implement to satisfy the other aspects.
Oh fun. That always sucks. That's when the boss' true @$$#0l3 side, really comes out.
He was very nice. Then again we do right by his store.

Simply watching. They aren't local but try to get here every once and while to keep an eye on things. And it wouldn't be a vacuum thing as I work at Wendy's.

Meh. Still feel icky. Threw up a bit this morning.
I made stilts once for a faun costume, but they were poorly constructed and fell apart about an hour after I got to the festival. :(
I have been meaning to make another pair of stilts instead of using foam to form the legs, but I haven't gotten the chance yet!
So what I have sewn thus far is just legs using foam and fur.
v Here's a picture of my progress so far! I plan to add a long tail to these pants and I'm still deciding on whether or not to use one of my corsets or just have my midriff showing.
I spent almost a year working on them, cuz, well, components were expensive. They were only like 10" tall, and fit like really high heals, like my foot was pointing down. Instead of heals to support me, it was a small hydraulic pump (with a 800 pound load limit) and reverse tensioned springs. Walking on them wasn't that hard, once I got used to it. But it killed my legs. My knees were bent the whole time.
Damia that is too adorable!
Does the bear have a name? I absolutely love the color of your hair.
Thanks, btw. I worked hard on my faun costume, I did a lot of alterations to it since I lost weight from last year, so I'm hoping it'll still look good on me when we go to the festival soon! I'm excited to add the tail!
Ava ~ Thank you.
The bears name is Lime, I have a few of them in different colors & most of them have wings.
One year we placed them around the Christmas tree, the tree was white with green & purple ornaments & lights, it was beautiful.
Our Renaissance Festival is in 2 weeks, I have so much I need to get done before then.
Need some inspiration to get me motivated on it.
The wig was one I got after Halloween on clearance one year & just sewed pieces into if from another Halloween wig that was a pretty color, but didn't have enough hair in it to use.
Storm-wolf ~ I can barely walk in high heels.
That would be rough on your legs, feet & knees.
Just walking ours in regular boots makes my feet hurt.
I'm used to wearing tennis shoes all the time & last year I forgot to put in any cushioning in the boots I had.
They were pretty, but very uncomfortable to wear for 9 hours.
Usually we go in a group, I've got to find out if everyone can get off work on the opening day or at least the Sunday after that.
Hello Poet.
Hope the headache goes away soon.
Sadly one of my male best friends can walk better in high heels than us girls do.
The entire time I have known him he has walked on the balls of his feet.
I guess being in marching band drilled it into my head how to walk.
Ava and Damia... you guys are just too cute in your costumes! *_*
Also, I agree totally on the topic of heels, haha. Most of the time I prefer to be barefoot when I can. I stumble around some when I first start wearing my winter boots, lol. I do have some heels and wedges that I wear on occasion, though, but I feel a little awkward in them. Anyone who can look graceful in heels has my respect!
Dami - The only guy I've ever seen in heels was the guy I saw on the bus a while ago. I'm not sure why he wore them, as someone with no fashion sense the clothes he had on looked awful, and the heels were like 3 inches. O.o
He wobbled like a tempo cranked to the highest speed.
Haha marching band... yeah that would probably do it. They train you into that stuff hard, I've seen marching bands at my schools and it's like they're out there marching every day.
My best friend walks on her tiptoes a lot.
Ava - I'll pass on heels, but stilts... I've always wanted to try those bouncy ones people wear sometimes. They look so fun.
Sarah - I prefer socks. I still like to slide in socks
Sarah ~ Thank you.
I would rather be barefoot especially at home.
After the issue with the splinter in my toe I've been forced to wear at least house shoes or flip flops. :(
My husband thought he was gonna have to take me to the emergency room after he got the splinter out of the bottom of my big toe. Blood was gushing out & running down my foot, it would not clot, he had to apply direct pressure to it for over 15 minutes before it finally stopped bleeding.
I have to wear shoes all day at work & they are the first thing to come off when I get home.
Poet ~ I almost think if we could shave my friend we could make him into a drag queen.
He is like a hairy little teddy bear, but he could move well in high heels.
We were goofing off trying on different shoes & stuff one day.
