I can't make any promises... I'll be externing soon so I will be very busy with that a little over a month from now and I still have a month of classes. On top of that there is a chance I'll be moving across the country next year @ [email protected]
Ugh... gotta love those bad but catchy songs/tunes...

I looked at my dad's university books and every damn equation/formula is mentioned in my books. They made it fit by cutting out all the stuff that might've helped me understand. And it's also the first time I'm doing experiments in the labs and I HATE practical work (probably bc they never made us do stuff and now suddenly they want us to be perfect first go at complicated experiments and I hate making a show of my clumsiness)
I actually dislike science, extremely so. It's not science fault I guess it's the educational system. But I don't want to see the word 'quantum' ever again. Or learn about industrial chemical processes that I can't relate to bc I'm not in a fucking industry.
Science was so relatable until I specialized, bc it was universal. Now it's just so abstract. It's like they saved up all the abstract stuff, the conflicting theories and observations with no explanation, for our specializing years. They tricked me into specializing by presenting a rosy pic of science to me all my school life! /ends rant
Sooo yeah. I know I'm not going to do anything medical or even science related. I in fact only specialized in this bc I 'could' bc I got a full GPA in tenth grade. 10 out of 10 and I thought smart=science (well I prob would've taken science anyway to keep my options open. This way I can do anything in college. If I took commerce I'd be able to do only commerce or arts. If I took arts I'd have to do something in arts.) AND I'M SO SORRY FOR TEXTWALLING feel free to not read the whole thing
|
Sorry for the super late reply. I've been trying to find time to read this. Most posts I've had to do are small so I was waiting to fully reread this and remember what the topic was (it'd been almost a month).
I think the reason the specialized fields are the ones with the unsolved problems is because they are hoping once they go specialized, some of these students will, with their new fresh perspective, see a solution to one or more of the mysteries.
Perfect on the first try? Oh gosh... I'm pretty much expected that on my first day at extern (5 week on the job training). They expect me to have the skills to do things even though I was only working with mock supplies.

@Siren- Science is an awesome, and very broad field. I took chemistry, all 4 years of high school, and took biology, and anatomy as electives. Everything in life can be broken down to science. If you can figure out the equation, you can see the truth of things.
|
Storm I so much so agree with you on this...
Algebra 1 is like "So find X, this is what it looks like graphed" Algebra 2 is like "So you remember Algebra 1? This has nothing to do with it"
But I know the feeling of wanting to start a bonfire. Specifically with a couple pharmacy books. Whole class wants to burn the math book and our primary textbook because they are wrong on such a consistent basis.
