Hi there!
Getting my blood drawn is so scary, but I have to get it drawn really often because my medication messes up my hormones and if my levels get too high I can stop having periods and become infertile and that freaks me out so my doctor is always checking my levels every time I visit her. So I get my blood drawn like once every month. :( it sucks!!
And I have to fast when I do it too.
Suckkkkkks.
You guys remember when I stopped taking my medication and I came here and typed like a drunk using one hand?

Yeah it is. :c And awh that does sound scary. x.x I'm sorryto hear that. D:
Do you end up getting it drawn by mainly the same person each time or do the people rotate or such?
I kinda get mine drawn semi-often thanks to my doctors needing it to moitor my iron levels. x: I'm sorta anemic. So there's blood drawing by the revolving door of doctors, some of which do -not- do it well, and some which do, so it's always a surprise.
Then there's the whole sitting there with a needle for an hour or two afterward.

I usually get the same woman drawing my blood, but sometimes she is doing something else so someone else draws my blood.
I like the woman who usually draws my blood because she always reminds me to breathe when I stop. The others just let me suffocate. :/
It sucks to have blood draws.

Ah yeah that sucks. Too bad you can't have designated blood drawers. Like stand in line for a specific one or put your name on your favorite one's forehead, silly stuff like that. (whut)
Well she sounds nice then. And the others suck. D: Yeah one time I had this nurse try 3 times each time blowing the vein completely and had to have someone else do it. x.x I feel there should be an actual blood drawing course in high school. Not just for vampires but for humans too.
Yeah x-x

Hey now, not all of us vampires drink blood!
I used a blood substitute. Less cholesterol!

Ava - I've never fainted from it, only holding my breath because of a catbox have I done that before.
Wow that's a lot of chocolate milk in one sitting... *cough* that's why I don't buy chocolate milk... I do that...
I rarely get my blood drawn luckily... but I also don't donate blood either. I don't trust some random person with a needle.

I want to donate blood, but the fear of fainting makes me cautious...
It seems like it would be great, but I just can't handle the nausea and if I can NOT get blood drawn, I'd rather... well... NOT.
I am in love with chocolate milk. :( It's an addiction. I'm pretty sure I've gained some pounds because of drinking chocolate milk. So no more for me for a while, especially with the holidays coming up, which means more food... more fat....

I tried to donate blood, only to be told my veins are too deep and can't be reached by the needles. I'll probably never know my blood type but now I have a very good reason for not donating blood.

Too deep to be reached? That sounds more like that they are not skilled enough to do it... I mean last I checked those needles are awfully long

The needles are long and big and apparently the vein being too deep in means they can't stick enough of the needle in to draw the blood. At least that was the impression I was given when they tried to explain.

Well, in my experience working with vein needles, they are specifically designed to be used in veins... so if it can't reach a vein it's a design flaw. I mean, what would a hospital do if their needles don't reach?
I think Cheshire got it, they were just too lazy or inexperienced to draw blood for you.
