Recovering from thanksgiving... and not looking forward to Christmas... tons of people tons of talking and tons of people I'm related to but barely know at all.
I hate social gatherings with family. I feel like a total outcast for the most part.

Ehh... I feel like an outcast in general... even the simplest topics can cause me a lot of grief because the "normal" action doesn't feel natural to me

I can kind of empathise with that, due to being considered weird according to practically everyone that knows me.

I'd embrace that if I were you... I don't like normal people... it's the weird ones that keep life interesting

hehe, I'm perfectly fine with being weird, I do feel awkward when I'm in social situations and I'm not in a social mood, which usually results in social isolation, even though I'm physically still there.

I get socially isolated either way... if everyone is already talking and playing, I don't feel comfortable joining in.

Social isolation is not nice. A lot of the time you're not alone but it's lonely anyway.

Definitely agreed... and that makes you feel more lonely than when you're alone right?

Yeah, that's right, at least when you're alone there's that physical isolation too, and usually you can do what you want without people judging.

Alone is nice but it gets lonely after a few weeks/months of having very little human interaction

It's a bit better then dried glue and glitter. Though glitter on it's own isn't bad.
