Oh I was certainly delightful... but now it's so bloody cold outside... went from 60-80 down in Florida to 40 at best and dipping well below freezing.

Glad you had a good time Poet.
It's 11 degrees here and we're under a winter storm warning.
We'll get about 8 inches of snow tonight.

I am excited.
It'll be the most snow we've had since 2013.
I have missed the snow and I'm glad I get to be here to experience it one last time before I move.

But if the injections are what you feel will work best -- then maybe it's beneficial, even if it means changing meds again... for your health. Just do whatever is best for you -- whether it is trying to put up reminders in every room, not just one room -- every room, or the injections. Do what's best for you.

I do my best to put up reminders everywhere without making it too crazy for my parents. Usually, I end up needing to be reminded by them to take my meds and I usually need for them to stand there and watch me take them otherwise I forget.
I see my psychiatrist the last week of December, so I pretty much have until then to straighten up on my pills, or I will probably be put on injections. I have been suggested to take injections before because I had this same problem years ago, but at the time my insurance would only cover a little bit of it, and injections are very expensive.
My meds aren't the only things I forget, though. I try my best to remember things, but it's becoming much harder to remember to do basic things, like showering and brushing my teeth and brushing my hair and washing it and things like that....

I can understand not wanting to make it crazy for your parents - my hubby puts up with my post it notes everywhere... at least they add a bit of color. What I tell others when suggesting this is do what you need to do for you, others can learn to work around it -- sometimes you just have to try to figure out what you need, without putting the needs of others ahead of your own.
I wish you luck with whatever you end up deciding... that sucks that your insurance won't cover all of the injections! :( How often would you need them if you went that route?
 Sounds rough!
I've been dealing with severe mommy brain lately -- I walked out of the house yesterday to take Becca to school... and LEFT the keys to the car in the house. >.< FAIL! D: Not the same, I know, but I totally get how rough it can be when it's the simple things that get forgotten.
I do hope that things work out for you hon. <3

At 5am on this Saturday morning, the temperature in Denver is minus 1 degree...and there is about 6 inches of snow on the ground.
Anybody want to trade? ...it WAS 50 degrees and sunny at noon, yesterday!

Thanks, Livi. :)
Injections are only once a month... Basically I'd go to the clinic and get a shot and then go home and not have to take any other meds except for my PRN (as needed meds). I didn't have medical assistance the first time they were recommended, but now that I do it will probably be approved.
My memory has been shit ever since I started antipsychotics.

At least they're only once a month. Sounds like that would make life less stressful with not having to worry about forgetting to take meds, other than the as needed ones.
Have you ever talked to someone about how bad your memory has been since starting the antipsychotics?

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to it, but if I do get approved then it'll be whatever. At least I can just go in and get the depot shot and forget about meds until next month.
I've talked to my mom about my memory and she always laughs and says, "Oh, Ava, your memory was always bad." :|

:( If it does end up happening, I do hope that at least they work for you even if it isn't what you what. *higs*
Maybe it's time to talk to someone other than your mom about your memory issues. Someone who won't just dismiss you like that. :/

Thanks, Livi! I hope they work too, I am really sick of the whole, meds-work-then-they-dont-then-hospital-then-meds-then-meds-dont-work-then-hospital circle I've been traveling in lately.
More than likely, the depot shot will work a lot like the meds, only slow releasing so I'll probably have meds to take PRN along with the injections.
I see my psychiatrist really soon, I have talked to my therapist about it, but she said my best bet would be to talk to my psychiatrist about it.

You're welcome, dear!! I bet that you're tired of that!! Sounds exhausting!!
Sounds like a good thing to bring up with your psychiatrist, hopefully there's something that can be done! It really is a major pain to have such faulty hole-like memory! :(

Since memory is poor, I'd recommend a journal. Put it with anything you bring to the psychiatrist so that she can read anything you've forgotten.
