That is insight I would not know that well personally. I'm socially inept ^^"
I just hear and read a lot about this stuff cause I have no idea what I'm doing.

I have noticed though of what I DO see a lot of, is that women tend to need more emotional connection and men need more of a physical connection.

Like say a woman might want more emotional stuff... whatever that is... im struggling to understand what those are but flowers seem to be involved.
For men it's more of simple touches over time, not just cuddling but placing a hand on them sometimes and the like. I dunno. Makes them feel less distant?

Like I said I'm bad at this and still learning. But the physical vs emotional has a lot of exceptions too.
Maybe a guy can give some insight on all of that side and a girl can give some insight on the other side?

I must be radioactive or she wouldn't have gotten sick.
My therapist isn't even old, she's only about late 20s, early 30s if that. :(

I feel like everyone around me is getting sick, sometimes I get scared to even reach out to people via internet, worried that they might catch disease from me.

Ah. It likely runs in her family. Otherwise people don't get it that early.
Plus if you were radioactive you'd be in horrible shape.

I think some people just get sick a lot. People around your age are starting to have kids some of them, and kids are messy unsanitary things. I have a coworker with a young child and she is sick every week.

As I have no gotten sick (outside of food poisoning) in 5+ years, I can assure you that you don't make people sick

Maybe...
I just feel really bad over her being sick. She is more than a therapist to me, she's my friend...

I don't get sick as much since I started doing sub work. But around me, people who are not around young children are getting sick.

I feel like my mind is telling me that I am toxic and making people unwell, but I do my best to convince myself that it's not true...

Well, the best thing you can do is give her best wishes ^^

I assure you that you're not toxic. That sort of thing doesn't make people sick. It's also that time of year too.

I have had a runny nose all day. And just yesterday I thought I was doing well to not get sick

Ah yeah... but that's how they work. They get you when you least expect it.
Changes in weather/temperature are the biggest thing that gets people.

Ava - my 24 year old Brother in law is currently battling cancer. So it can happen to anyone. Sadly. :(

It wasn't you. You aren't to blame for her getting sick! You aren't toxic. I agree with Poet on that one.

Hello lovely people!
I see the topics today aren't quite that cheerful.
But aside from that, how is everyone?

I'm excited - I'm just made plans to meet up with my sister and mum for lunch on Friday!
Mum wanted some time with some of her grand babies - me and my sister have the three youngest grand kids currently. It'll be mum, me, Christina, her son, my twins, and Soph. :)

How're you doing Ophium? :)

Oh that is lovely! I've discovered my love for children when my baby sister was born three years ago and now I'm expecting a brother!
I hope the weather will be great ^^

And I'm alright, waiting for the week to end. There will be a medieval market in my town and I'm looking forward to that (:

Awww!! That's awesome!! :D

It's probably going to be hot - we're going over to my sister's place, so we'll probably be inside. :)
We considered making it for Saturday so my oldest, who's almost done with school for the year, could come but Saturday didn't work for my sister.

Oh that sounds like fun too! :)

Hello Ophium... your signature seems familiar... I used to have one of those moving text things. I wonder if it was made by the same person.
The topic can be less than cheerful, but that's kind of how life rolls. Sometimes it's good sometimes it's not. When people are down I like to try to help them along if I can

Wow having siblings pretty late in life?

Hello again!

I really need to delete my signature. It probably was, I got mine years ago from McNugget ^^

And yes my dad has a young wife, only 10 years older than me.

Oh Nugget? Interesting. I got mine years and years ago on Gaia. I wonder if he made them there too....

Wow, that's definitely young.

Indeed it is. But we get along just fine, which is great. She's more of a friend than a stepmother.
I just don't quite agree with her way of raising my sister. She's turning into a spoiled little brat and I don't feel like I can simply interfere or punish my sister for doing something naughty while I look after her. And I've talked to my dad about this and he agrees with me but does nothing.

The first child tends to get spoiled more often.

Eventually the fussing and the bad behavior will end up too much to handle and they'll end up forced to discipline bad behavior.

I wonder if any of the moms on mene can chime in on that. I raised kitties. That's all I can go off of.

I've also just raised cats and I believe I would be quite the military mom.
Luckily I can take all the time I want before deciding on having children.

That's very true.

That may be why you dislike her parenting methods

My mom thinks that by the way I raised my bunny that I will be too lenient of a parent.
She says when Beans ripped the air vent covers off, I would scold her for two seconds, then hug her and kiss her and call her "too cute". :|

I don't think that's too lenient, right?

That is pretty lenient, but the bunny doesn't exactly know what it did wrong (I think).
But for pet owners that whole cute move works far too often. My significant other has that issue with her cat (and apparently so does the person that is currently fostering her while we get some stuff sorted.)

We tried to discipline and not reward bad behavior from a young age with all of our kids -- but from my experience, with the first born -- it's a lot of trial and error, so they tend to get away with more than those after them get away with because it's a learning process. At least that's how it's been for Al and I.

How interesting..I imagine individual personalities of the children has an effect on the way you discipline them too...
