Hook laughed quietly, settling in for the ride. It wasn't so bad, even with Gold in the carriage too.

"At least you've only got two layers to worry about," Tina said with a little grin. "I've got four or something."

"There could have been more," Gold pointed out with a small grin.

Tina snorted. "If there had been any more layers I would have gone in pants instead," she said, grinning.

Gold laughed softly.

"That would have been something to see," he said.

"Watch everyone flounder for a minute trying to figure out what to do with me?" Tina asked with a grin.

"Indeed," Gold replied. "I doubt any of them even considered wearing pants. Except, perhaps, Miss Swan. She might."

Tina snorted. "See, should've worn pants," she said to him with a grin. "Would have been easier to get into."

Gold just chuckled a bit and settled in for the rest of the ride.

Once they arrived, Hook got out first and held out his hand to help Rachel down, glancing around to see who all was gathered. It looked like the entire town.

Tina waited for the others to get out before she stepped down, looking nervous.

Rachel accepted Hook's hand to get out of the carriage. She barely even noticed that it was his false hand rather than his hook. She glanced around nervously.

Gold helped Tina out of the carriage, and stayed close to her as they went inside. He was interested to see what would happen when people realized that the Dark One had been invited.

Hook heard the murmurs start as soon as he moved inside, and he grimaced. Well, he hadn't exactly expected a warm reception.

Emma and Snow were the first to walk over to greet them, Charming trailing after them.

"You look like you've been doing fine for yourself," Emma said, glancing between him and Rachel. "Hopefully you're being nice to her too."

Tina saw the looks a few people gave Gold and frowned, tempted to go tell them off, and she took a step in their direction.

"It's... a little strange, being back," Rachel admitted. "Killian's been very kind to me." She paused for a moment. "And... you're wearing a gown. I'm kind of surprised."

Gold put a hand on her arm.

"It's alright, dear," he said. "I was expecting it."

Emma made a face briefly. "She forced me into one," she said, nodding to Snow. "This wasn't by choice."

"That doesn't mean you should have to put up with it," Tina said, frowning but letting him steer her away.

"It looks good, though," Rachel offered. "And you do get used to it, eventually."

"Tina, I've been putting up with it for a long time," Gold said. "One more night won't hurt anything."

Emma snorted. "Well I'm going back to jeans tomorrow," she said.

Tina frowned but didn't say anything else, instead looking around again and trying to keep an eye on things.

Rachel grinned.

"I don't blame you," she said. "I managed to find an arsenal of hair taming implements that survived, so I need to go through them to see what I can use, because apparently I need them again."

"Try to relax and have some fun," Gold said. "This is a party, after all."

Emma snorted. "Good luck with that," she said feelingly. "This is why I don't keep mine very long."

Tina gave him a bit of a Look. "Yes, there's lots of people, we've already established that I am not a people person," she said dryly.

"I wish," Rachel said feelingly. "There was a reason mine was never cut, but I don't remember what it was. But I know it was important."

"Yes, and I fully expect to find you wandering your way into the kitchens at some point in the evening," Gold pointed out, grinning slightly. "I'm certain there are a few people here who you were acquainted with."

"I'm sure." Emma shook her head a bit. "Well, you could cut it now, if you wanted to."

"Yeah, I remember the Blue Fairy." Tina shrugged. "No one else here really rings a bell, but I guess we'll see."

"I don't think I can," Rachel admitted. "At least, I don't want to without knowing why I couldn't before. Just in case, you know?"

"Perhaps the wolf girl," Gold suggested. "Ruby, I believe her name is."

Emma nodded. "Yeah. I know all about that." She glanced over at Henry, who was busy chatting with other people.

"I don't know her that well," Tina said with a shrug. "Although I could go bug Rachel."

Rachel glanced over as well.

"He must be having the time of his life," she commented.

"You could," Gold said, nodding. "Do what you are comfortable with. No one will hold it against you."

"He seems to be," Emma said. "He wasn't upset with the move." Which was good, especially since none of them had been expecting it.

Tina shrugged and just stuck with him for the moment, content to watch people for a bit. When she was more comfortable, she'd go talk to people.

"That's good," Rachel said. "At least everyone seems to be settling back in okay."

Gold stayed with her, although he was starting to lean on his cane a little more. He knew his leg would start bothering him more as the evening wore on, and was fully prepared with some spells to help him get through the ball.

Emma nodded and looked over at Gold and Tina. "I see Tina is still living with him," she said, sounding somewhere between incredulous and annoyed, because she didn't like Gold.
