"Good." Red grinned. "Keeping busy helping rebuild. I think we're almost done though, so I think we're going to star finding other jobs soon."

"Was there much left to work with?" Rachel asked.

"The castle was still there, in part, as was this town. But everything needed to be repaired." Red shrugged. "We managed okay, it just took time."

"It's good that enough survived to rebuild on," Rachel said. "Emma was saying how everyone is settling in, being back."

"Yeah, things are quieting down, which is nice." Red shrugged. "We haven't run into any troll problems yet, hopefully it will stay that way."

"Yeah," Rachel agreed.

Elsewhere, Gold had found a bench to settle himself on for a bit and was just watching the party.

Tina had ended up mingling a bit, although she found she was getting more attention than she was used to. Particularly from single guys. And she couldn't just climb a tree in her dress. So she kept evading them and avoiding their questions.

As Gold watched, he found himself getting more and more annoyed. How dare those men try to approach Tina? Especially when she was making it so clear she didn't want their attentions! Getting up, he made his way over to her.

"Tina, what do you say to going out on the balcony for a little while?" he asked smoothly, offering his free arm. "Fresh air will be welcome, it's getting rather hot in here."

"Sounds good," Tina agreed quickly with a quick little smile. She took his arm and let him steer her away and outside.

"Thanks," she said quietly once they were outside.

"My pleasure, dear," Gold replied. "It seems some of your potential suitors fail to understand refusal."

"No kidding." Tina shook her head. "It's like they don't even listen to what I'm saying." She walked over to the rail, leaning against it. "See, I told you putting me in a dress was a bad idea." She grinned at him briefly.

"I think it was a rather brilliant idea," Gold said. He smiled at her for a moment. "You really do look lovely."

Tina blushed faintly. "Thanks," she said quietly. "I might even be used to this by the end of the night."

"Perhaps," Gold said. He leaned on his cane a bit, keeping some of his weight off his bad leg. "Have you found anyone to talk to this evening? I'd hate for you to be lonely."

"Emma and Red I can talk to," Tina said with a little shrug. "Not much of anyone else. But that's fine, I'm not lonely." In fact, she'd prefer if things were a bit quieter, but that was life.

Gold resisted making a bit of a face when Tina mentioned Emma.

"So long as you're not unhappy," he said.

"I'm not," Tina assured him with a little grin. "No one's been giving you trouble, have they?"

"Not at all," Gold replied. "I dare say they are afraid to even come near, let alone cause trouble."

"Well I don't like the afraid part but not causing trouble is good," Tina agreed.

"Dear, they're always going to be wary," Gold pointed out. "I doubt there will ever be a time when anyone other than you will be easy in my presence. One must simply make the best of it."

Tina sighed but nodded. She knew he didn't care what they thought of him, but that didn't make her feel any better about the fact that he was alone but for her most of the time. She looked at the railing for a few moments before she gave in and hopped up to sit on it, only flailing a little when her gown got in the way.

Gold put a hand on her arm to steady her, and let go again when she was seated. The reaction had been unconscious, and his hand lingered on her arm a moment longer than necessary.

Tina noticed but didn't comment on it, too busy trying to figure out what it meant.

"Least there's a good view up here," she said quietly.

"Indeed," Gold replied. "Better than many I've seen."

"Yeah. I don't think I've ever been up here." Tina shifted to get a better look over what was left of the forest.
