"Yeah, she was just telling us." Bae didn't budge, just watching him, eyes narrowed a little.

"I see." Gold watched Bae in return for a moment. "Yes, Tina is pregnant. The child is rather unexpected, but it was ultimately her decision to keep it."

"So you two are going to have a child." Another child, Bae didn't say, because this was Tina's first, and he was trying not to hold it against her.

"We are," Gold said carefully. He knew just how dangerous a subject they were treading on.

Bae was silent for a moment. "You think you'll raise this one better?" That was one of the less offensive ways to put it, anyway.

Gold knew what Bae was asking.

"I'm going to try," he said. He was quiet for a moment. "I know I didn't do right by you, Bae, and there's no way to change the past. The only thing I can do is hope I've learned enough from my mistakes."

Bae snorted and shook his head. "You can't erase what you've done with a new kid," he said.

"That's not why we're having this child, Bae," Gold said. "It was entirely unplanned."

"But you're glad it's happening." Bae didn't relax. He knew it was an unplanned child; he doubted the thought had occurred to either of them before this little accident.

"What do you want me to say, Bae?" Gold asked. "That I don't want the child? That I'm afraid? Fine, yes, Bae, I'm terrified, but I still want this child." He looked at his son. "I wanted you just as much before you were born, and I was just as afraid then. Apparently, with good reason."

Bae shook his head. "How long were you going to keep this all to yourself?" he asked. "Because as much as I'm sure you don't want people knowing, they're going to find out. Whether you and Tina want them to or not."

Gold sighed. He knew that word of Tina's pregnancy would spread sooner or later, he wasn't a fool.

"We were going to start letting people know when Tina felt comfortable enough to do so," he said. "More than likely, Henry will say something to Snow White and her prince before we can formally make an announcement, now that he knows."

Bae nodded. "Emma will if someone asks," he said. Then he paused.

"You're planning on actually making a formal announcement to people? That's not like you."

"As you said, this is not something we will be able to keep to ourselves for long," Gold pointed out. "Best to quell the rumors before they start."

"I guess so." Bae was quiet for a moment. "Emma and Henry are waiting for you." With that, he left the kitchen and headed back over to keep whoever wasn't having a lesson company.

Gold took a few more minutes to get his thoughts into order and then headed into the room set aside for lessons.

Back at the port, Rachel watched eagerly as the ship was docked. She hadn't seen Tina in a while, and was looking forward to visiting.

Hook chuckled. "Two more minutes, love, no need to go jumping ship early," he teased. "And don't forget your bag, which you left down in our cabin."

Rachel grinned, going over to him.

"I won't forget it," she said. "I'm just excited, that's all. I've been looking forward to seeing Tina again." She leaned up and kissed his cheek. "And I think you enjoy calling it our cabin, rather than yours," she added teasingly.

"That obvious?" Hook asked with a smirk. "Sure you don't want some company? The crew knows what to do."

"You go on and have a few drinks with the crew," Rachel said. "I'll be alright on my own. You'll have more fun here than around Gold, I guarantee it."

"True." Hook kissed her once. "I'll see you later, then. Have fun and tell Tina hi for me. Especially if Gold's around. Maybe add a few embellishments on that, too." He grinned.

Rachel smiled and returned the kiss.

"I'll see what I can do," she said. "I won't be more than a day or two."

"Alright. See you then." Hook made sure everything was in order as they docked and then let her off, because he could.

Rachel grabbed her bag and made sure that she had everything she was bringing back for Tina, and got off the ship. It felt a bit odd being on solid ground again after a while at sea, but she got used to it quickly enough. Once she was off the dock, she headed in the direction of Rumplestiltskin's castle.

Tina was starting to show by then, and was quickly learning to expertly fend off subtle suggestions that she rest. And fortunately she wasn't even mad at Gold yet.
