Tina grinned. "Well, thank you too, Hook," she said.

"Just don't ask us to get another one," Hook said with a little grin.

"Fair enough."

"Where do you want me to put it?" Rachel asked, hefting the egg again. It was a lot heavier than it looked like it should be.

"Here." Tina motioned for Rachel to follow and headed over to a smaller room off to the side, which she'd set up in anticipation of having a dragon egg. It was warm and quiet. "Anywhere in here."

Rachel nodded and went into the room. She gently set the egg on a pile of blankets, making sure it was secure and comfortable. She could feel the wards set all around the room, and couldn't help but approve of them.

"Excellent." Tina smiled. "Thank you for that. Gold's going to have a minor heart attack when it hatches, I'm sure, but he'll appreciate it."

"I bet," Rachel said, grinning. She gave her friend a hug. "I'm glad you like it, though. I made sure that it came from a big nest, so there were plenty of others left."

"Good. See, I knew I could trust you." Tina grinned, returning the hug. "Do you two want some snacks? Tea? I still have to finish putting your things together, I haven't gone out and picked the apples yet."

"Only if it's not any trouble," Rachel said. "I mean that. And I'll help you get the apples."

"No trouble at all, we just keep the kettle on most of the time now." Tina smiled. "Come on, into the kitchen."

Rachel grinned, and nudged Killian into following.

"Coming?" she asked him softly. "Or are you going to wander off for a bit?"

"I'll come with for now," Hook said. "We'll see what kind of a mood the crocodile is in."

Tina just grinned a bit and headed into the kitchen to make tea and put snacks on a plate.

Rachel couldn't help an indulgent grin.

"Just don't bait him too much," she said.

Gold was already in the kitchen, making some tea. It was about the time Tina usually wanted it, so he was just making it on principle.

"Ah, Tina," he said when she walked in. "Tea?"

Hook grinned and tucked his arm around her.

"You know me too well," Tina said with an indulgent smile. "Thank you." She got out the biscuits and scones.

Rachel moved a bit closer to him, sighing softly with contentment.

"I should hope so," Gold said as he finished making the tea. He set the teapot on the table and went over to her, wrapping his arms around her briefly from behind and resting a hand on her stomach. "How are you and the little one doing?"

Hook just kept her there, quite content with that. Yeah, they really needed a few days to themselves.

"We're both fine," Tina said with a little smile. "No changes since this morning." But she was still indulgently amused.

"Good," Gold said. He rubbed small, gentle circles on the sides of her belly. "Hopefully that blasted pirate will be gone soon, so everyone can settle back in."

Tina snorted. "Be nice," she chided, though she didn't move. "They're going to help me collect apples, I'm going to give them fresh food, and I doubt they're going to stay for too long."

"Oh?" Gold asked, raising an eyebrow as he kept up the gentle rubbing. "And what makes you say that?"

"They keep giving each other looks, and I overheard something about time to themselves," Tina said with a little grin. "So, sounds like they won't want to stick around."

"I see," Gold murmured. And wasn't that a horrifying thought? He pushed it away pointedly, very much not wanting to think about Rapunzel and her pirate going off for some time alone. Briefly, he hoped that Rachel would have more sense than he'd had, and take certain precautions so as not to end up in a similar situation to Tina.

Tina grinned at his discomfiture. "Don't worry, you won't have to deal with it," she said cheerily. "Now, tea, and then apple picking, which does not count as a strenuous activity."

"So long as they do the work for you," Gold allowed, letting her go so she could get her tea.

Tina snorted quietly but went to go get tea and bring it to the table. Gold wasn't being overbearing, yet, but she didn't need to be babied yet either.

Gold let her putter around the kitchen, stepping off to the side in anticipation of Rachel and her pirate finally coming in. Because he knew they would, even if they seemed to have gotten a little sidetracked.

Tina grinned a bit when the other two finally rejoined them. "Took you long enough," she teased.

"Emma caught up to us," Hook said with a little shrug. "She made her opinions on us taking her son to an island with dragons known."
