"I guess you saw something at Gold's shop, then," Tina guessed quietly, still looking out at the trees. "I did too."

"What did you see?" Rachel asked quietly, looking at Tina.

"The two of us, only not quite. And then Mr. Gold, only not quite." Tina shook her head. "None of it made any sense, anyway."

Rachel looked at Tina, eyes wide.

"I--I saw almost the same thing," she said. "First it was not-me and not-Gold, and then it was not-me and not-you."

Tina shivered. "Okay, this is officially creepy," she said, rubbing her arms. "I saw not-us when I touched the hair brush. I think I was saying something about your hair."

Rachel went pale.

"That's what I heard," she whispered. "Something about how pretty my hair was, and how hard it was to take care of."

"But that's what I was there for," Tina said quietly, her eyes wide. "Definitely not a coincidence anymore, Rache."

"Something's going on," Rachel agreed. She wrapped her arms around herself and shivered a bit. "Tina, this is scaring me now."

Tina sighed. "I can't tell what's going on until I get to the bottom of it. Let's give it a few more days, see if we can't remember anything more. And if we do, we can start talking to people, see what we can find out."

Rachel nodded.

"As good a plan as any," she said. Cautiously, she got up from the bed. "I'll head into my own room, see if I can't get some sleep."

"Good idea. I'll see you at dinner." Tina went back to staring out the window, already making plans to explore the forest more fully.

Rachel nodded and went back into her room, taking off her shoes and settling down on the bed. She didn't sleep much, though, and reluctantly got up again around dinner time.

Four days later found Tina running, yet again. Two days before a man had started trying to talk to her, all the time. He'd cornered her three separate times today already, and Tina wasn't entirely sure how he was finding her, since she was taking routes through the woods and away from people.

Finally she ducked into Gold's shop, shutting the door and taking a few moments to look out the window and see if he was still following her.

"Tina?" Gold asked as he watched her dart into the store and slam the door behind her. "Is everything alright?"

Meanwhile, Rachel was settling herself into a booth at the diner. There was something she needed to ask the waitress.

"Yeah, sure, everything's fine," Tina said without looking at him, watching as the man started walking up the street. "I'm just going to go sneak out your back door now, sorry for the intrusion."

Red spotted her and headed over, smiling at her. "Hey. Feeling better?" She sat down across from Rachel.

"What seems to be the trouble?" Gold asked, coming around the counter.

"A little," Rachel said. "I still feel a bit tangled up."

"Nothing, really," Tina said, moving away from the door. "I'm sorry to have troubled you, Mr. Gold. Don't worry about it." She started edging towards the back, her eyes still on the window.

"Yeah? Anything I can help with?" Red frowned a little and leaned forward. She would have thought that four days was long enough, but maybe Rachel wasn't regaining her memories as quickly. Or maybe she just needed confirmation.

"If you'll excuse the bluntness, but it doesn't seem like nothing, dear," Gold said, glancing from Tina to the door and back. "Maybe I can help."

"Maybe," Rachel admitted. She looked at her. "Ruby? Or is it really Red?"

"Maybe you can," Tina agreed. "But it's really not necessary. I just need to get out the back and into the woods again and I'll be fine." As long as he didn't decide to check in Gold's shop, anyway.

"It's kind of both, now." Red smiled a little. "How much do you remember?"

"Well it seems to me that it is necessary," Gold said. Going over to the window, he glanced out and his eyes narrowed a bit. He recognized the man pacing outside. "Ah, I see." He turned to Tina. "If you'd like, you can stay in my office for a little while, while I deal with this."

"I'm not sure," Rachel admitted quietly. "It's all scrambled up." She looked at Red. "Who am I? Who do you think I am?"

"Really, it's okay," Tina said, frowning a little. "I don't want to make you deal with him." Because while she was very good at running away, she was not good at confrontations.

"That's complicated," Red said slowly. "I know you, I remember you, as Rapunzel. But now you're also Rachel." She shrugged.

"Really, it's no trouble," Gold said. "Go on and wait in my office. I'll take care of this."

"The name I've been hearing since the first day," Rachel murmured. She glanced at Red again, and flinched as another memory hit her.

"Rapunzel! Let me up!"

"Red, you know I'm not supposed to have visitors!"

"Come on, who will know? I brought you some of Granny's cookies, they're good this time!"

A sigh. "Alright, fine!" Gathering her long braid, Rapunzel coiled it up, looped it around a hook in the windowframe, and dropped the end down to Red, using herself as the counterweight.

Rachel rubbed her eyes and shook her head, trying to bring herself back to normal.

Tina hesitated for a few more moments. The man walked over to the door to Gold's shop, and Tina bolted into the back.

The bell over the door tinkled as the man stepped inside, visually sweeping the place quickly.

"You okay?" Red looked at her with concern, frowning a little.

"Can I help you, boy?" Gold asked the newcomer evenly, watching him visually sweep the store.

"I think so," Rachel said, trying to keep her voice calm. "It was just... something. I'm not sure what. Something about cookies, and visitors, and..." she trailed off. "And a red brocade cloak."

"Just looking for someone. I thought I saw her come in here." The man looked at Gold, blinking once. "She must be hiding somewhere."

Red grinned. "That would be me," she said. "Probably one of the times I brought Granny's cookies over with me when I went to see you."
