"I'm afraid you're mistaken," Gold said. "There is no one in the shop but us." Technically true, and he lived for technicalities.

"And I wasn't supposed to have visitors," Rachel said looking at Red. She sighed. "But I don't know why."

"Huh. Alright." The man nodded to Gold and left the shop again, heading off down the street.

Red shrugged. "I don't think you ever really explained it." She looked at Rachel for a few moments. "Okay so far?"

"You can come back out now, Tina," Gold called once the man was gone.

"I think so," Rachel said. "Aside from the fact that apparently I'm not who I thought I was."

Tina emerged from his office slowly, sighing in relief when she saw the man was nowhere to be seen. "Thanks," she said quietly, leaning back against the counter.

"It kind of happened to all of us," Red said with a shrug. "We'd been living here thinking we were normal until Emma broke the curse."

"My pleasure," Gold replied, nodding his head to her a bit.

"So there really is a curse?" Rachel asked.

Tina was quiet for a moment. "Maybe I could go grab lunch for us?" she offered quietly, not quite looking at him.

"There is a curse. We all thought it was broken, but apparently it's not entirely gone." Red shrugged. "It seems to be weakening for you and Thumbelina, though."

"You don't have to, dear," Gold said, looking at her. He quirked a slight grin. "Although I suppose I won't be able to stop you."

"Thumbelina...?" Rachel asked. Then her eyes widened a bit. "Tina?"

"You didn't say no which means yes." Tina grinned. "Any preferences? I know Granny makes good burgers. And I found a great picnic spot a few days ago, if you wanted to actually get some sun and get out of this shop."

"Yeah." Red smiled a little sheepishly. "Tina. She was Thumbelina. You don't remember that?"

"I think, perhaps, it is best for me to stay with the shop today," Gold said, neatly hedging around the fact that the town still didn't really like him. "Although I believe a hamburger wouldn't be a bad idea."

"I... don't know," Rachel said. Her fingers flexed, as if trying to grab for something that wasn't there. "She's-- she's there. In the memories. I know it's her. But... I don't know. There's no... no names at all."

"Alright. I'll go grab hamburgers for us, then." Tina grinned at him before heading out of the shop and heading over to Granny's. She paused when she saw Rachel sitting chatting with Red before she shrugged and went over to the counter to order food.

"They'll come with time, I'm sure," Red said. "Although I don't know when. You and Tina are odd. The rest of us were all here when the curse was broken, so we all gained the information back at the same time. You two, though... Well, I guess the memories will come in bits and pieces unless someone breaks the curse for you two as well."

"Well, how did the curse get broken in the first place?" Rachel asked. Hey, it was a reasonable question.

"Emma," Red said simply. "True love's kiss. I know you've been reading the fairy tales, you know how it goes."

Rachel slumped in her chair.

"Well, I'm screwed, then," she said. She had a wry sort of expression on her face. "I doubt that'll happen."

"Oh, you never know. Stranger things have happened here," Red said with a grin. "And the curse is weakening on its own anyway, so it'll give up on you. It's just a matter of time."

"We'll see," Rachel said. She wasn't completely, a hundred-percent sold on the whole thing, but it made a certain kind of sense. Enough sense, at least, for her to want to believe it.

Red nodded and got up. "While you're here, can I get you anything? More cocoa? Maybe I can grab Mary Margaret for you to talk to, if you want."

"Cocoa would be wonderful," Rachel said gratefully. She didn't respond about Mary Margaret, though; she wasn't entirely sure about talking about the issue with someone she didn't 'know'.

Red nodded and went to go get the cocoa, nodding to Tina. Tina nodded back, taking the burgers and heading back over to the pawn shop.

Gold glanced out of his office when he heard the bell on the door, and smiled pleasantly when he saw Tina.

"Welcome back," he said, coming out of his office and around the counter.

"Here you go." Tina handed over one of the burgers to him, managing to find a spot to sit and starting on her burger. She was quiet for a minute before she spoke.

"So I've been meaning to ask you about something."

"I might just have an answer for you," Gold said. He was tempted to tell her that the answer would come at a price, but she'd brought him lunch, so he owed her a little.

"Rachel and I both have had some... flashbacks, I guess you could say. Only it's not us. And we've seen not-you, too. I know Rachel has seen other people, but I haven't. Just not-you, not-Rachel, and myself." Tina looked at him evenly. "And if we're both having these flashbacks it's too much to be coincidental. So what is it?"

"That," Gold said, "is a difficult question to answer." He gave her something of a Look. "And the answer will likely change your life. Are you sure you want to know?"

"If I don't find out I might just go crazy trying to figure it out myself," Tina shot back with a Look of her own. "Please tell me, Mr. Gold."

"Alright," Gold said. "I suppose you deserve to know." He was quiet for a moment, considering his words. "Have you ever read the story of Thumbelina?"
