"But I just got it trimmed," Rachel protested. "That's what I'm trying to tell you, I just got it done like two weeks ago."

Tina shrugged. "I'm just telling you what I see," she said again, tying off the braid and going to sit on her bed. "I think I'm going to see if I can get to sleep soon. You should too."

Rachel nodded a bit.

"Alright," she said, flipping the braid back over her shoulder. "Thanks for this," she added.

"No problem. That's what I'm here for." Tina paused at the odd deja-vu and then shook herself. "See you in the morning."

Rachel felt the odd deja-vu as well, but still nodded.

"Sleep well," she said. Then she headed back into her own room.

The next morning Tina was all ready to go look at apartments, although she still wanted to ask Gold and see if he had any tips for them, since he knew the area better. And she wanted to ask him for a favor.

Rachel was all set to look for apartments, as well. The hotel was nice, but she was looking forward to having a real place, even if it proved to be temporary.

"Ready?" she asked her friend.

"Yeah." Tina grabbed her purse and headed down the stairs and outside. "You know, I was thinking about asking Mr. Gold if he knew anything. Since he's been in the area a while, and in case there's a landlord that just rips people off or a building is falling apart or something."

"Might not be a bad idea," Rachel said as she grabbed her own bag. "Maybe I can ask Red if she knows of anywhere that's vacant."

"Well how about you go talk to Red and I'll go talk to Gold, and we'll meet up again here when we're done?" Tina looked at her, raising an eyebrow.

"Sounds like a plan to me," Rachel said. "I'll head to the diner, then."

Tina nodded and headed off for Mr. Gold's shop, jogging over there and avoiding people when she could. She stopped just inside the door this time.

Red was already working, although there weren't many people in the diner. She looked over when she heard the door open and grinned at Rachel.

Rachel grinned back and sat down at the counter, waiting patiently to Red to get to her.

"Well, you're here earlier than usual," Gold commented with a slight grin when he saw Tina. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Red came over with a cup of hot cocoa, sliding it to Rachel before leaning on the counter across from her.

"You look happier," she commented.

"Actually I was hoping you could maybe help me out a bit," Tina said, a little nervously. "If it's not a bother, anyway."

"Sleeping on it sometimes helps," Rachel admitted. "And I actually have a question for you, if you're not sick of my ridiculous ignorance yet."

"I suppose that depends on what you need," Gold replied. "I might be able to help you."

"Of course not. What can I help you with?" Red looked at her, raising an eyebrow.

Tina moved over to the counter and pulled out the paper, setting it down so he could see the apartments they'd circled to look at. "Rachel and I are getting an apartment, so we can stay here and figure things out, for a while anyway, and I was wondering if you had any suggestions."

"Tina and I are looking for an apartment," Rachel said. "The hotel is great, but we want something a bit less transient and a bit more functional. We're going to stick around for a while longer to see if we can make sense of everything." She gave Red a hopeful look. "I was hoping you might know of anywhere that's vacant?"

"An apartment, hm?" Gold glanced at the page. "Just remember that everything comes with a price, dear, even advice. Now, of these..." Gold looked at the listing a bit more carefully. "The vacancy out near the shore would suit your purposes well enough."

Red nodded. "Yeah, I think there's a vacancy in the building where Mary Margaret and Emma live. I think. I'd have to go double check, though." She shrugged. "Other than that, I know there's a place out by the shore. That's bound to have a good view."

Tina nodded. "And while I'm here... I know this is kind of asking a lot, but I was wondering if there was any way to maybe get an assistant librarian position for Rachel? I know she'd like working there more than any of the current jobs available here."

"I wouldn't mind the shore..." Rachel mused. The shore wasn't a bad idea at all. "I think that one might have been on our list of places to check out."

"You're asking for your friend?" Gold asked. "Interesting. I would think you would want that spot more; the library isn't exactly a well-trafficked place."

"I know it's in the paper," Red said with a shrug. "But it's a nice place. I'll walk over there with you two if you want, a little later."

Tina shook her head. "I can work at the police station, I don't mind. That shouldn't be too bad. Besides, Rachel's more uncomfortable with all this than I am, so she should at least be comfortable with her job. And I know Belle knows her, er, Rapunzel."

"I couldn't ask you to do that, Red," Rachel protested. "You still have work, don't you?"

"Yes, Belle would know her," Gold mused. "Or know of her, at any rate... But are you sure you want to work with Sheriff Swan, Tina?"

"It's a work day, there won't be much of a rush today. I can take an hour off, no problem." Red grinned.

"Um... I don't know? I haven't actually met her," Tina admitted. "But working there can't be worse than working in an elementary school with small children."

"You sure? I don't want to get you in trouble or anything..." Rachel blinked when she caught a sense of deja-vu again.

"Are you sure it's okay for you to be here? I don't want to get you in trouble."

"Don't worry, Granny won't notice if I take an extra hour."

"Sheriff Swan can be... sometimes difficult to work with," Gold replied. Of course, Emma was always difficult with him, but that was beside the point.

Red just grinned. "Don't worry about it," she said. "I'm sure Granny will be fine without me for one hour."

Tina shrugged. "I'll just deal with it as I go," she said quietly, looking at him evenly. "So do you think it's possible? For Rachel, I mean?"

Rachel blinked and shook her head.

"Alright that has to stop," she said. "Flashing back and forth like that can't be healthy."

"Perhaps," Gold replied. "I'll see what I can do."
