Tina relaxed a little when he said that and smiled. "I understand a little better now," she said quietly. "You're forgiven. Just try not to make it a habit, yeah?"

"It may prove to be a hard habit to break," Gold warned her. "But I'll try."

Tina nodded. That would just have to be good enough. "Have a cookie," she told him again, because that was about as close to a real peace offering as she'd get.

Gold didn't particularly want a cookie, but he took one anyways. He knew she would keep insisting until he did.

Tina settled back in her chair, satisfied for the moment. "So now will you tell me more?"

"What is it you wish to know more about?" Gold asked, nibbling on the cookie a bit. It was much richer than he expected it to be.

"You," Tina said bluntly. "And don't tell me otherwise, I know I remember seeing you before in a house spinning gold."

"I still do," Gold replied. "On occasion."

Tina couldn't help but grin at that. "Old habits?" she guessed. "I guess I know how that goes." Because she couldn't stop thinking of the best camping spots.

"More of a hobby, really," Gold replied, shrugging a bit. "Although now it seems to be less practical than it once was."

"Oh, I don't know," Tina said lightly. "Gold is still really damn useful." She paused and then snickered. "Oh I'm going to have to tease you mercilessly about this, you know, no matter how appropriate the name is."

"Well, I did choose it," Gold pointed out. "I think I would know exactly how appropriate, and ironic, it is."

"And I bet you I am the only one in this town willing to tease you about it," Tina pointed out, still grinning. "Hey, maybe I should weave you a gold circlet or something, that would just be awesome."

Gold just raised an eyebrow at her.

"Your friend would have more use for such a thing than I would," he said. "In fact, I'm betting she's started to notice just how much the curse is weakening for her. Her hair did manage to get rather long before, after all."

"Rather long is an understatement," Tina shot back. "You didn't have to braid it all the time." She pouted a little, snagging a cherry tartlet from the bag.

"Indeed," Gold replied. He didn't add, though, that cutting Rapunzel's hair would have also cut her magical potential. Magic worked in strange ways, sometimes.

Tina looked at him before she shook her head, looking down at the tartlet and fiddling with it.

"Think I could bring you dinner sometime this week?"

Gold didn't immediately reply, surprised. He hadn't expected that.

"I suppose so," he replied after a moment. "Is there a particular reason?"

That made her backpedal, because yes she had been thinking about doing this for a week.

"No, no, of course not, I just thought, maybe, y'know, nevermind, I guess I should get back, or something." Tina scrambled to her feet, distinctly red now.

"I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable," Gold said before she could leave. "It was just unexpected. But I wouldn't object to sharing dinner with you sometime this week."

Tina was silent for a moment before she turned and smiled at him, still shy and faintly pink. "Okay. Wednesday maybe?"

Gold smiled slightly and nodded.

"Sounds good," he said.

Tina nodded, still pink, and left the shop, practically running back to hide in the apartment for a while.

Hook, meanwhile, was back at the library. He'd been watching all versions of Peter Pan he could get his hand on, as well as other pirate movies. So far he wasn't thrilled with what he saw.

Rachel froze for a moment when she saw Hook there watching different movies, and slowly edged her way around him, trying not to draw his attention as she made her way back further into the stacks.

Hook swore quietly at the movie he was watching, glowering at it. He huffed. Really, how badly could these people screw up?
