Tina looked at the things and blinked. "Um. This looks expensive," she offered, looking at the necklace. "And old. Probably really valuable. And this..." She looked at the Pirate list. "This is hysterical and kind of witty. Pirate guy gave you these?"

Rachel nodded.

"I think so, I mean, they were on my desk when I got to work." And really, who else would go for the obvious pirate reference there?

"Okay. So either he's in to you or he's trying to prove that he's not a bad guy. Or maybe both?" Tina shrugged. "It's possible."

"I guess," Rachel said. She was quiet for a moment. "It's getting harder and harder to brush him off. He's kind of... almost charming."

"So try talking to him for a while and see how it goes." Tina shrugged. "I mean, if he freaks you out you've got Mace, and otherwise you should be okay."

"I guess so," Rachel said. "It's just, I dunno... It's weird, somehow, it's like I want to not like him and I kind of do against my will."

Tina snickered. "Well, it's your call," she said after a minute. "But I think you should talk to him. If you still kind of like him against your will, maybe give yourself a bit to sort things out?"

"We'll see," Rachel said. Time to change the subject. "So what's going on with you and Gold?"

"He apologized and said he'd work on not doing it again," Tina said with a shrug. And he'd helped her out with those guys, but she didn't want Rachel to worry about that. "And we're having dinner Wednesday night."

"He asked you to dinner?" Rachel asked, eyes widening. "No way. Really?"

"I never said he asked me," Tina pointed out. "He didn't. I suggested it."

Rachel blinked.

"His face must have been priceless," she commented. "I don't think anyone's ever done that before."

"Probably not," Tina agreed with a grin. "It was pretty great." She still kind of wished that he had asked her, but oh well.

"You'll have to let me know how it goes," Rachel said. She was quiet for a moment. "So apparently we're both having some man-issues. Kind of weird, all things considered."

"No kidding." Tina snorted. "But I guess it makes some sense, if you look at it with the curse in mind. I mean, the curse would have wanted us to stay oblivious, so it wouldn't have let us get close to anyone outside of town."

"Very true," Rachel said. "Although it kind of makes you wonder how we managed to survive out there, considering we were frozen in time for almost thirty years."

"I'd... prefer not to think about it like that," Tina said with a little shiver.

Rachel nodded. It weirded her out, too. She shook her head a bit.

"Come on," she said. "Let's see what's on TV tonight. And so help me, if SciFi is running another Pirates marathon..."

Tina snickered and shook her head but went to go settle on the couch and see what was on.

Surprisingly, Rachel didn't see much of Hook over the next few days. She kind of expected him to keep bothering her, and she was surprised to find that she kind of missed his constant, slightly charming company.

Hook waited until Emma was out of the office one day to go visit Rachel, swaggering into the office and grinning at her. "Well, love, how's the organization coming?"

Rachel jumped slightly when he spoke. She hadn't noticed him coming in.

"I don't know who tried to organize this before, but they were a moron," she commented. "None of this makes any sense, so I have to fix it all."

Hook grinned briefly. "Ah, yes, having to cover for someone else's incompetence. I am rather familiar with that." He sauntered over to perch himself on the edge of her desk.

Rachel made a vague sound of acknowledgement and pulled out another bundle of files to sort. She made a face.

"See, this makes me want to strangle the person who did this," she said. "You don't put case files and paperwork together in the same thing, it just doesn't work like that."

Hook chuckled quietly. "It does sound aggravating," he agreed. "Here." He set down a copy of Peter Pan on the desk.
