"More than ready," Rachel replied. "It was weird. People kept staring and whispering and I swear that kid must have started something because I kept hearing 'Rapunzel' everywhere." She ran a hand over her braid. "My hair isn't that long, is it?"

Tina laughed. "No, no, it's not. Don't worry. Alright, let's get going. We've still got places to explore, hopefully ones where the people aren't so freaky."

"Amen to that," Rachel replied as she quickly shoved everything into her suitcase and closed it.

Tina smiled a bit and nodded, going to gather up her things.

Only once they were in the car and driving again did she bring up the pawn shop.

"So I talked to the owner of the shop for a bit."

"Yeah?" Rachel said. "Did he say anything interesting?"

"Offered me those glass flowers again. Said I'd be amazed what people are willing to give up." Tina smiled a bit. "He's odd, but he's kind of... neat type odd. Rather than creepy."

"If you say so," Rachel replied. "I still think he was sketchy. That whole town was weird."

"Yeah," Tina admitted. "The whole place was kind of weird. But I don't know. I'm kind of oddly fascinated."

"So am I," Rachel admitted after a moment. "As weird as it was, it was still kind of... comfortable. The people seemed familiar, even though I'm sure I've never met them before."

"Yeah." Tina shook her head. "It's so strange." She kind of wanted to go back, but she couldn't think of a good reason.

"Yeah," Rachel agreed. She was quiet for a moment. "Is it just me, or did some of those people make you think that they should have looked a bit different than they did?"

"Um." Tina blinked, thinking about it. "Kind of. Yeah. I mean, not a lot, but just a little. Like hair length, clothing options..."

"Exactly," Rachel said. "It was weird, I kept expecting something... else. I have no idea why, I've never met these people before."

Tina shrugged. "Well, it's not a big deal. I doubt we'll be back there. Not right now anyway."

"Right," Rachel agreed. Inwardly, though, it still nagged her. Why was the town so familiar?

Tina settled into her seat, staring out the window. But for the rest of the next week, she couldn't get that little town out of her head.

"You know what's crazy? I can't get Storybrooke out of my head."

"Thank god," Rachel replied, visibly relieved. "I thought it was just me." She'd been constantly thinking about the strange little town, as well, even when she tried to distract herself. Something about Storybrooke seemed to call to her.

Tina shook her head. "No, it's me too." Tina sighed. "I wonder if we should go back? Try to figure all this out? I mean, there has to be a reason for this, right?"

"We can't both be crazy," Rachel agreed. "Maybe we should go back. Just to see."

Tina nodded. "We can be there before dark if we leave now," she said, looking over at Rachel.

"I'll go pack a bag," Rachel said, heading up to her room to throw a few changes of clothes into a backpack.

Tina grinned and packed her own bag, throwing things together. She had no idea how long they'd stay, but she had enough money to cover emergency shopping. And she wanted to get going soon.

As soon as she had enough clothes for a few days, and other supplies besides, she went back to meet Tina.

"Let's go," she said.

Tina nodded and got in the driver's seat, starting to drive them back to Storybrooke.

She made it in record time, pulling into a parking place in front of Granny's again. "Here we are."

As soon as they passed the border into town, Rachel could feel herself relaxing. Yes, there was something about the town that felt... right.

"Let's go get us a room, then."
