hostel just had a yucky gore factor... but in reality, movies like that are scarier because it could really happen

It did have a lot of nasty gore, but yes I think it's realism makes it more scary, one's that are "based on true stories" always freak me out way more even if I know they are probably exaggerated exponentially

yea definitely! the ones that are far fetched scare us because we always think 'what if...?' and then our imagination goes crazy lol

Like I said I think they keep life in perspective. No matter how bad your day is you can go home watch a horror movie and be glad you weren't any of those people XD

I think they are good for kids to because lots of times kids seem to have NO CLUE how dangerous the world could really be. See if they talk to strangers after watching freddy XD
