His mind immediately went blank and his his eyes shut under the shadows. he went limp as he passed out and forgot everything

Ivan removed the shadows from Gilbert, the picked his body up and brought him back into the house. He transformed back into a human, and brought Gilbert up the stairs. he entered Gilbert's bedroom, then lay Gilbert on his bed and sat beside him, waiting for him to wake up.

He jolted awake with a start "what happened?" he asked sitting up when he saw ivan. what happened? how had he gotten back here? why couldnt he remember?

Ivan sighed. "You fell over and hit your head while you were doing work with the animals...." he lied.

"did i finish my work?" he asked. he honestly couldn't remember....

"Yes, you finished." Ivan replied.

"gut" he got up "im gonna go drink" he headed downstairs

Ivan followed him downstairs. "You're going to teh bar?" he asked with a smile. he liked the bar....

"nien, im not going out. i just want beer" he went his kitchen "i dont go to the bar when i have stuff here, but your welcome to"

Ivan sighed. "Ah, alright..." he was disappointed to hear.

"your welcome to go if youd like. another time maybe well go and buy vodka to take back here for you" he offered grabbing a beer off the shelf

Ivan nodded. He'd forgotten about that wonderful drink, really... It was so good.

He sat down after grabbing a few more bottles and started to down them

Ivan sat beside him and watched him drink bottle after bottle of beer.

As he got more and more drunk he began to talk. he talked about anything and everything. until he hit the subject of the dead animals. he slammed his fist on the table lying all over it knocking over several empty bottles of beer "I just try so fucking hard ya know? and then they just die! i work to fucking hard for them to just POOF die in the middle of the night!" he says getting more and more agitated

Ivan swallowed and nodded. He knew how it felt to lose people he loved.... Because he was a monster, he was not human, and thus was more than 300 years old.... He had seen many people come and go. The one person who had been genuinely friendly to him died a long time ago.

"And i mean mayyyyyyyybeeeeeee i could have accepted it if i had found their killer orrr if i had at least been able to do something to try and help them!" he said his words slurred as he spilled his thoughts to the russian

Ivan nodded slowly feeling bad.

"And piggy was in shreds! i dont even know how that could happen! i mean the closest ive seen is when a few years back a pack of wolves got to come of my animals!" he started to cry "but it was worse! and then gilbird" he shook his head "and it was the one that was already hurt to! he was getting better.... he really was! and ya know he liked you the most out of all of em"

Ivan swallowed. The little bird liked him best?! He let out a sigh and patted Gilbert's back. "It's alright...." he tried to soothe him.

his head hit the table and he mumble "no its nooootttttttttttttt their deaaaddddddddddddddd" he said depresivly

Ivan shrugged. "Well, there are always the other birds and pigs, right?" he tried to cheer him up...

"i suppose i have other birds but they were all special to me... every last one of them is special... and as for the pig... perhaps but it was piggy, she had such personality! and she was pregnant... i dont know how i can afford to loss a full grown pig and all the babies. as personal as it is and as much as i hate thinking of it this way... its still a buisness and my lively hood" he said oddly clear minded for being so smashed

Ivan swallowed and nodded. Shit, he felt awful...

he lifted his head to drain another bottle and grab another "my brother would be so disappointed in me right now" he mumbled. he mocked his voice "why are you sitting here and drowning your problems in alcohol get up and go do something about them. fucking hypocrite" he muttered the last bit. his brother didnt do it often but he knew west did this especially when it came to relationships
