He looked away. "I've got to stop killing my brain...but I hurt people."

"Oh, Gamzee...." He pet the other's hair once more. "There is another way...."

He looked at the serpent, awaiting an explanation. "Really...?"

He nodded very slightly. "There is.... It's inside of your hive... in the lowest level...."

"What is it?" He asked curiously.

"You'll know when you see it.... I am not allowed to tell out right what it is..." He said with a sigh.

He frowned. "Oh...ok..." He rubbed his horn stubs. "What about these?"

"Do you want them back?" He asked, looking at him

He nodded slowly. "I feel...like Tavros should have some say..which ever way he liked me better..."

Tavros had just been watching from by the hive when the Serpent lusus nodded him over. "Brown-Blood.... He wishes for your opinion on his horns...."

Tavros just stared for a moment. "O-oh... um.... I.. It's not about his horns... it's about him...."

Gamzee furrowed his eyebrows. "But...which way is better?"

"I... I guess with the horns... It's odd to see you without them..."

He nodded and looked back at the large serpent. "I want them back then.."

"it may take a few days..." the end of the serpents tail lit up and he stroked the High-blood's head slowly.

He squeaked and nearly fell back, little horns starting to grow back.

"There my boy..." His tail stopped glowing and he looked at Tavros. "Brown-Blood.... Taurus... You care much about Gamzee, don't you...?"

Tavros blushed heavily. "Y-yes, I do..."

Gamzee also blushed rather shyly, leaning against his guardian.

"And he clearly likes you a lot..." He looked at the high-blood, seeming to smile. "I wish you both happiness..."

A smiled crossed Gamzee's face as he got that blessing. "Thanks..." He said softly, staring at Tavros in a rather loving sort of way.

"I should probably go ahead and go" The lusus looked at Gamzee. "You have been leading a wonderful life Gamzee."

Gamzee looked a bit crushed for a moment, but then just smiled sadly and backed away. "Good bye..." He said softly. "Maybe I'll see you again soon..." He turned to Tavros. "I'm going to my hive to look for that solution my Lusus told us about. Care to come?"

"You will see me soon, child. I will not leave you alone so much again..." The lusus slipped away into the water.

Tavros nodded. "Yeah! I'd love to come with you." He smiled and held his hand out to the High-blood.

Gamzee looked at the hand for a few moment and then took it with a smile.

Tavros smiled and walked them into the hive. "He said the lowest level... so... basement?"

Gamzee nodded. "Yeah...I never really go down there..."
