Tavros laughed softly "Well, I'm glad you think so!!" He pet Gamzee's hair. "You're a miracle too!"

He nearly mewled at the petting, wanting to nuzzle the hand, but he didn't. He knew that sort of thing might scare Tavros. "Thanks." He whispered.

"Don't thank me for saying the truth!" He laughed and went back to playing the video game.

"Hehe..." He smiled sheepishly. "If you say so Tav.." He gave him an endearing look.

He laughed and played the game a bit more before wincing and dropping the controller. "Ow..."

Gamzee jumped, then looked at Tavros with sudden alarm. "Tav? ..... .................. ..........are you ok?"

"J-just some hip pain..." he put a hand to the metal under his pants. "Equius only replaced what needed to be replaced, so my hips are more or less just fused with the metal..." he winced again. "And it burns..."

Gamzee looked worried. "U-Um....will a bath help? Or, I have burn ointment..." He looked worried. "That jerk. He could've given you something for the pain."

"He didn't think it would burn...." Tavros adjusted his legs so he could stand. "Maybe just a wet washcloth...?" He didn't want Gamzee to use his ointment on his small wounds.

He frowned. "Tav...I'm not so sure that will help." He stood and gently pushed his friend back down. "Don't stand. You need to let it rest." He left, then came back with a pan of water, some ice, and a washcloth. "Alright Tavros, take off your pants so I can see you wounds. I'll try to be gentle."

Tavros was hesitant for a minute, but he edged his pants off to reveal the full metal legs the had been fused with the skin of his hips. He still had boxers on to cover what wasn't metal.

He shook his head. "That looks kinda...painful.." He washed off the legs and held the ice on there.

Tavros shivered. "It just burns right now..." He winced slightly. "You don't have to do this..."

He tried his best to calm the area, putting the ointment on. "Gosh...that looks like it hurts.."

Tavros made a pitiful whimper noise. "No, I'm fine....."

"Tav..." He pet the other's horns and then his hair. "Shhh. It'll be ok. How can I help it feel better?"

"You did all you really can." He smiled. "Thank you Gamz"

Hey gave a quick peck to Tavros' cheek. "I just hope you get better soon."

A brown blush flooded the previously crippled boy's face. "I-I hope so too"

He smiled and sat next to him. "Maybe you and I can do some fun stuff when your legs heal all up. After all, now you can walk and stuff."

"That's true!" He laughed happily. "It's so odd to be able to move my legs again!" He made a face. "Well, not necessarily my legs, but still"

He nodded. "I could imagine it would be a bit strange to suddenly be able to do that again. Are you adapting to it well? I could help you if need be..." He was searching for any excuse to have Tavros around more often.

"Well, I need help with stairs obviously...." He made a face and looked at the bruise on his arm. "But, I mean... I'm not sure what else I'll need help with..."

He nodded. "I see...nothing else then? hmm..."

"Well... and he did say to not spend too long standing up, and I need help with the physical therapy I'm supposed to do..." He frowned at the thought of the stretches and all.
