If I had a kid I'd be tempted to give them a super long hard or impossible to pronounce middle name...

I'd be tempted to be clever with their middle name. Like if my name really was Dani California *insert last name here*
Same taste, half ridicule during middle school!

What would happen if you named your kid "Missy Popular LASTNAMEHERE"?
Her nickname would be Miss Popular

Yep.
My first name is Cherish, my last name is extremely unusual, too. People see my middle initial, and always ask me "what does the O stand for?" expecting something exotic or unusual.
It's Olivia.
I've always hated it. It's the boring bit that lets the rest of my name down.
I'm seriously tempted to change it to Oblivia.

I prefer my middle name over my first. It's Chana, and a lot of people don't really know how to pronounce it. It's in Hebrew, and it's named after my great great aunt (don't really know how many 'greats'). It means grace. First name means ewe in Hebrew. So, technically I'm a graceful sheep. -_- Plus, if we went by how the Irish used their last names (the male and female version, both totally different), I'd confuse people even more. Yay!

I like the Irish way of adding Fitz to preceed a surname to mean "son of". I like stuff like that.
And now I have a question that I need a Scottish person to answer :O
Vinyl:
What's the difference between Mac and Mc? And, what do they mean?

I have two middle names. Initials A M. And no they are not Ann Marie.
Aspen Mirielle.
I was born in colorado and my parents really liked the grace and beauty of the Aspen trees out there. And Mirielle is actually misspelled because my nana didn't speak much english and got confused trying to translate the french spelling. I really like my full name it soubnd fantastic if you say it with a french accent. :3

Hope you don't mind me answering this. My last name starts with Mac, it's actually both Irish and Scottish or Celtic. Mc is an abbreviation of Mac, they're the same. Some went with one or the other when they immigrated to places like the US and Canada. It means 'son of'. Hope that helps a bit.

There's not really a difference between the two as a lot of names have both variations in spelling (MacDonald and McDonald for example). Some people believe that Mac is Highland/noble and Mc is Lowland/common but they're not legit. Mac is the Gaelic word for son, so the prefix basically just means "Son of"

I like my middle name. It's Jolene. My first name is Wynona. For a while I hated both my names because they're both "famous" names, names 99% of the population will associate with Winona Ryder and the song Jolene. Someone once asked me if I made my name up. Once I got over all that, though, I started to think my name is quite pretty.

Sharon Ellen is my middle name :P. After my Paternal grandmother, Sharon, and my Maternal grandmother, Judith Ellen =P. I do wish I had more interesting ones.. but I love my grandmas. Especially my paternal grandmother, mostly because she's the one that's always spent time with me and been around me. The other is a bit grumpy and picks favorites xP. Still love her, though.
