I remembered the "haven't seen you in a while" one though. Yeeeh. -highfive self-
You can do eet though! How much more do you have to go?
I'm working on my Bachelor's degree right now. It's been so long, ugh. Like almost 7 years probably.

Haha don't worry about it.
-pats your head-
well I still got 4 tests. Though my instructor tells me that
I should consider taking the Language arts Pre-test since I am very good at reading and writing. So I might do that. And if I score high enough I might just
take the test. Though I am nervous because we have to write essays in the exam. We practiced writing essays. But it literally took me 3 days to write.
25-40 minutes is not enough time to write an essay D:
Oh! I wish you best of luck.
You can do it!

Ooh, 4 tests doesn't seem so bad, right?
Those time limits make me nervous too. I have the typical bad habit of doing things at the least minute, like essays and papers, so even if I'm all "I should really do this... over a reasonable amount of time", the other part of me is like "what for, you can do it in one day.." XD It's a viscous circllle!
Thank you~! Only got a year-ish left. 8D
Also, I need to sleep.

It's not bad at all.
But math i am going to take math last. Science probably second.
Haha yeah. I am not sure i they made it so the test is on the computer
since my instructor was explaining it to another student who was taking the test after class and she said one of the girl's at the desk would set it up which makes me think the test is on the computer.
YOU CAN DO IT.
Rest well~

@Fuu: Hahah, aversion to math? I'm the same way.
Science should be fun!
Computer testing is probably pretty much the norm now huh? I can't remember the last time I did anything on paper. Well... when I took regular college classes instead of online, there was definitely test-taking with regular pencil and paper. I don't know if I have a preference though.

I have a question - are all the translations here : Time-specific actions | Learn Japanese
correct???
I want to find the lists that translates writing
"love"
"cute"
"joy"
and for the closed black brackets, are those just showing how you write them?
---------- Post added 02-26-2016 at 02:05 PM ----------
fe: 今 【いま】 - now
do you just write the first part or both together with the brackets?

Math is just..the worst.
Out of the lessons we did the other day I only got one.
Yeah probably. I did it back in Junior High so I am sure it is much bigger
Now more than ever. The only test tasting I remember is the CSAPS which had nothing to do with my education but kept the school funded.

M i r o: I can't say with 100% certainty that eeeverything there is correct, but that's because of my lack of comprehension for Japanese. I will say though, that that guide, Tae Kim's, is pretty popular and well spoken of so it's probably a safe bet, at least to start with.
For your list, I don't know joy..
But for love there's
愛 (あい)(ai)
大好き (だいすき)(daisuki)
I'm not sure of the nuances between them, but based on my limited experience of Japanese drama ( ), daisuki seems more used for expressions of love. "I love you", etc...
It's also used for saying you love/really like other stuff. "I love food."
Now that I think about it, I have no idea how ai is used. Maybe as more of the conceptual part?
For cute, there's
かわいい (kawaii)
As far as I know, using hiragana for cute is the norm.
For your second part, the writing in the brackets (hiragana) just shows how to pronounce it since the writing outside (kanji) often has multiple pronunciations.
So for everyday use if you were fluent or just wanted a kanji character, you would just use the first part.
I hope that helps a bit~

I think the thing with math, which I'm sure could be said for all subjects is how it's taught. When I was in high school, I absolutely sucked at geometry. Pre-Algebra too I think. But excelled and actually enjoyed Algebra and Pre-calculus. The last two, I had the same teacher for, so same teaching style. Math is still one of my weaker points, but I know it's not something that's impossible, it's just one of the things I need a different approach and more patience with.
Ooh, what's CSAPS?

It's just important!
The question should be what is Rette doing with natural functions if she's not visiting the toilet.
Also, I wonder if saying "visit" the toilet/bathroom is an American/English thing. I think it's like a more polite way of saying it than just "going."
Your bowels are important, Rette!

Thank you!!
That cleared it up for me. The black brackets confused me, lol
Ah, well, I just need the words solo - not really directed at anyone ^^
Just the kanji for the words ~ I was trying to find the easiest site glossary for 'em.
But I will keep hunting I guess for 100% guide xD
I wanted to use kanji expressions in my drawings instead of the words.

Speaking of which, have you guys heard of "Milkway hitchhiking?"
Its a beautifully illustrated (korean), manga about a cat that travels space & time!
I stopped reading manga and gave my books all away but...
This one is 100% full color and artistic rather than cartoony <3

Ah~ I think checking like maybe... 3 places should be enough since you're using them for arts~ Sounds pretty. Ah, too bad Ferra isn't here, she would be super helpful. Mebe we can find some other Japanese person.. around...
I've never heard of that manga, but the art is so dream-like. I wants it~!
Now I want to get it for my boyfriend for Easter. Miro is a good gift finder!

I think there are a few of them still here but I don't ever know who ~
I think it just came out??? I went to Barns N Nobles Saturday and found it
I wasn't able to get it, though. It's $30 (in-store) but I have found it cheaps elsewhere <3
Well, $1-2 difference from B&N online. It's $22 online at B&N*
+shipping + tax, turns out to be $26? depending where you are.
~ fufu ~
I hope you both enjoy it if you do!

I think its mainly 1 cat but it shows 2 in the 1st book (a friend it made or something).
The cat experiences, interacts and observes life.
There are humans in it, especially bishounen and cutesy.
So its not entirely about just the cat xD

Well, peeps return when they wanna/can!
I hope we have a St. Pattys or Easter Event at least soon.
There was a 20%-off for leap-year going on for only yesterday for B&N.
Um, it's cheaper online at B&N than in store.
Target is also selling it for cheap online for $20 (but it ends up being $25 ship+tax)
Electronically [Google Play], it's $14.99 (not fair p: )
