Dave whined loudly, reaching out in his half asleep daze. "Jaaaddddeee...." It sounded pitiful.

"Dave, be quiet!!" She said in a whisper, but harshly.

"Jade...? What was that?" John was even closer.

"N-nothing John! S-say, wh-why don't you go see if Dave is at home or something...?"

Dave was still moaning like a drunk bitch, grasping for a pillow in his sleep.

"Jade?! Whaat is going on??" John came into her doorway. "and... why are is there a writhing lump on your bed...?"

Jade facepalmed. "Um, any explanation I give will not even seem like the truth to you...."

Dave groaned, spooning the pillow. "Jade..." It was a soft whisper, not really a sexual sound, more sweet.

"Is... that Dave under you blanket...?" John raised an eyebrow at her.

Blush crossed Jade's cheeks. "D-don't tell dad.... We weren't doing anything... We were watching a movie and fell asleep...."

Dave groaned. "Shuddd upppp...." He slurred, kinda just slightly waking up. Then he bolted upright as he remembered where he was. He stared at John with large, red eyes, not saying anything.

"Hey there Dave." John looked at the Strider boy with a raised eyebrow. "So, I take it neither of you were sick?"

Jade buried her face in her hands. "Don't tell dad...."

Dave just seemed amused. "Hell no. We're just that cool."

"um.. Are you two a thing now or something or has that not happened yet?"

"Joooohn!!!" Jade threw a squiddle plushie at John. "you're so embarrassing!"

John caught the thing and laughed. "My right as your brother"

Dave nodded his head without shame. "We are. And in hoping that since in your bro and all, you approve."

John looked at Dave. "well... I'd rather it be you than anyone else! At least I trust you not to hurt her."

Dave nodded. "Of coarse I wouldn't hurt her."

He nodded "if you still plan on being here when my dad gets here, just come hang in my room so she doesn't get grounded" he waved to them and went to his room.

Jade looked over at the red-eyed boy. "Well then..."

Dave seemed pleased. "Told you he'd be cool." He grabbed Jade and yanked her back down with him, pushing the two on the bed. "Now. I think you left the snuggling a bit pre-maturely."

Jade giggled and cuddled up to Dave. "so I did..." Shr looked up at him with a small smile, despite him being a bit of a blur with her glasses.

Dave snuggled against her like some sort of over grown cat. "Mhm. So you should stay for a while."

"Do I have a choice? She teased as cut on another movie and got comfortable once more.

"Not really.."

She laughed and nuzzled him "we better keep an eye on the time... I don't think dad will take kindly to me having you around me, much less in my bed, if I'm 'sick'"

He nodded. "This is true..."

"so... Around six... Go hang with John..."

He shrugged. "I'll snuggle him too."

She shook her head "whatever cool kid."

"I want to see how bad it freaks him out."
