He laid back on the seat, looking dazed out of his mind.

Jade sighed and shut the door before climbing in the other side to stroke his hair. "I'm gonna get dad to come get us, okay? He can get Dirk in the way and he can bring your car home..."

He gasped out and grabbed at her. "Dang call Dirk..." He begged, not wanting his brother to know about this uncool state he was in.

She paused and nodded before calling her dad to come get them. John would have to drive the car to the Strider household. " Dave, do you want to go home or crash at my house...?" she asked, brushing his hair out of his face.

"Don't want Dirk to see me..." Was all he mumbled.

"my house it is..." she leaned down and kissed his forehead. "I'm sorry you feel bad Dave... We can deal with the waitress later.." it didnt take log for Mr. Harley to show up and for John to start to drive Dave's car home after they moved Dave to Mr. Harley's car.

Dave didn't bother moving, to out of it to realize his best friend had just seen him all fucked up.

Jade sat in the back with Dave, speaking softly to him until they got to her house and her dad took him up to her room and laid him in her bed. Jade tugged off Dave's coat and set it aside.

He pulled her close, kissing her.

Jade kissed him softly before pulling away. "get some rest cool kid..."

He wouldn't let go of her. "Mmm....what...is wrong with me..?"

"I'm thinking the waitress spiked your food..." she laid beside him, taking his hand in hers. "but you'll be fine..."

He groaned at this, not stating how he felt about the matter.

She kissed his cheek softly. "rest cool kid, we can talk in the morning, alright?" she asked, looming over at the red-eyed teen.

He only muttered something inaudible.

She moved close to him and closed her eyes after taking her glasses off.

He closed his eyes, trying to clear his mind.

Jade was soon snoozing against him, mumbling his name softly in her sleep.

Jade's cell phone went off, someone calling her.

she woke quickly to this, and answered the phone quietly. "hello...?"

It was Dirk, and he seemed to be in hysterics. "Have you seen Dave? He didn't come home tonight..." It certainly didn't sound a lot like Dirk considering that he sounded very uncool and...was that a sniffle...?

"oh, crap, sorry, I thought dad would have called... Dave is with me... He brought me home because I got food poisoning and crashed..." she lied. "sorry, I would've called but, well, again food Poisoning..."

Dirk seemed to calm down considerably. "Ok...thank you..." He sighed.!

"I am so sorry for not making sure you knew.." Jade ran a hand through her hair and looked down at Dave. "he'll be home in the morning... He just wanted to make sure that I was okay...."

Dirk paused as if suspicious. "Ok..."
