Oh yeah there are recorded deaths due to someone sitting on another.
It's usually due to...let's say very heafty weighted people sitting on their lovers chest and breaking the rib cage, usually the rib punctures an organ

1000 ways to die should be taken with a grain of salt. A lot of those stories are not real and can be debunked.
Dumb ways to die...doing something just because one wants to see if it would kill them. I'm not talking about suicide, but people that do things for the thrill of it.

I like to look at ridiculous warning labels when thinking of these things. There's one chainsaw that's pretty well-known around the internet that carries the label "WARNING: Do not attempt to stop chain with hands or genitals."
It just makes you wonder if there are people who have actually done these things.
Also, there are at least three recorded deaths from playing Chubby Bunny.

Anything to do with tripping would be an unfortunate death. Anything ironic, too, like being a professional rock climber and then falling off a rock/mountain/cliff you were climbing. Or being a retired robber killed in a holdup.
...Chubby Bunny. Huh, I suppose you could choke.

I watched this video when it was at 500k views. Now it's at 28million views. It is hectic and oh so catchy. (the bear is so cute!)

Oh gosh, there was one in particular that I had seen that I thought was wrong. It's neat to watch the show once or twice, but then it just gets old. I think the one I saw had to do with the "iron maiden". I was under the impression that they were never actually used, but created as a sort of effect later on in history to exaggerate the torture.
Particularly not during the French Revolution, anyway.
I was fond of the Darwin Awards, though.

I read an article once about some teens who were putting on a Halloween show. For their finale, one of them was going to pretend to be hung in a fake gallows on stage. Something went wrong, and... well, he was actually hung. It's sad, but it's also just so incredibly stupid that they would try that and not realize that whatever protections against real hanging some teenagers could come up with would probably not be 100% adequate.

A dumb way to die is to do something beyond your capabilities.
I.e, rock climb, gymnastics high in the air, or rope swinging high in the air, without any sort of vest and rope to hold you if you fall. There's many other things, but I find these among some of the most stupid.

That's incredibly tragic, and I agree with how stupid an idea like that is.

An ex of mine said if he were to ever commit suicide; he would do so by sitting in a kiddie pool filled with KY Jelly and dump a bucket of liquid LSD onto his head.
