Tavros laid Gamzee down and held his hand.

He just looked at him and winced.

"I'm so sorry Gamzee..." He pet the other gently.

He sighed. "Can I...stay here...?"

"If course you can!" He said in response. Tavros looked to his parents.

They nodded, showing that they didn't mind at all.

"you can definitely stay!" he smiled at the demon boy. "alright?"

He nodded quickly. "I don't want to go back."

"then you don't have to!" he nodded and smiled. "You will stay here."

"What if she comes for me?"

"Then she'll be in for a surprise." he said with a frown.

He shuddered. "You don't want her coming here."

"I'll make sure to have a weapon with me." he said simply.

He busted out crying. "Nooo! I'm supposed to protect you!"

"H-hey!" He got a tissue and wiped the tears away. "You can't protect me when you're so damaged... let me protect you for a bit, okay?"

He was sobbing and Mrs. Nitram was cuddling him in an instant. "Sshhh. Shush baby..."

Tavros sighed softly and let his mom do as she did.

The woman looked at Tavros. "I think I need to give that woman a piece of my mind..." She grumbled, laying Gamzee back on Tavros and storming out in a flurry.

Tavros stayed at Gamzee's side, stroking his hair softly.

He stared up into Tavros' eyes, clearly seeing him as a god-like figure.

"do you need anything Gamzee?" he asked with concern. "food, drink, blanket?"

He shook his head, sniffling, but his stomach was rumbling loudly.

"why don't we get you something tasty to eat?"

He shook his head rapidly. "I've been to much trouble already..."

"it will be my pleasure though." before Gamzee could stop him, Tavros wheeled out of the room to get him food.
